The hotel offers beautiful views of the resort, friendly staff with good spa facilities. The customer service experience from the ski shop, in particular James was exceptional! James had our skies ready outside every morning, remembered our room numbers and the guests that were in our group. Always exceptionally helpful and courteous during every encounter. The ski in/out isn't suitable for beginners, due to the steep blue run that you have to access to return to the hotel. If you cannot ski in, then you can book a free shuttle bus or take a 15-20 minute uphill walk from the slopes to the hotel . We found the restaurants very disappointing, only two were available for half board guests and both were a la carte. The selection of choice was very limited with either a 4 course meal or two course being served. During our meals, the waiters started clearing the plates before everyone had finished, making us feel rushed. You have to book your dinner reservation days in advance and we found it difficult to book an early sitting for 7pm, mainly 8.30pm were being offered. Consequently, we decided to eat out on three occasions because of the restrictive menu, despite having paid to eat at the hotel. There was no evening entertainment during our stay. On several occasions the housekeeping staff didn't provide enough towels for each guest and we ran out of toilet paper! Not the level of service expected from a 5 star hotel! Although the hotel, spa and scenery was very pleasant, I don't believe it represented value for money. Having read the reviews from other guests who stayed here during December, many were saying the same as we experienced, which is disappointing that the hotel hasn't taken on board any of the feedback from guests.
