Everything was exceptional. Verena is a wonderful hostess, she greeted us upon arrival and immediately made us feel welcomed. Attention to detail, cleanliness, comfortable bed, amazing shower, all exceeded expectations. Would definitely recommend.

Verena is a lovely lady, very chatty and only too happy to assist. Her house is beautifully renovated, wonderfully clean, and in a great location for exploring the local places - however as a fellow B&B owner (who regularly receives 10/10 on Booking com from my guests), I felt Verena’s guest house is best described as a “posh hostel”. She claims to have spent many years in luxury hospitality but as a guest it’s not luxurious if: 1) you have to take your dressing gown, towels, bath mat, wash bag and clothes into a shared bathroom; 2 shared bathrooms and two separate toilets for 5 bedrooms (10 people) is not luxurious. 2) you have to climb over your partner to get out of bed because the bed is jammed up against the wall on three sides, and as such you have no where to put anything during the night, no bedside table, or even a shelf above the headboard. 3) you have to go into the shared bathroom just to use the provided hairdryer. I do not understand why there isn’t one in each room. 4) you have to forgo reading your book in bed because the only (minuscule) bedside lamp is on the other side of the bed. In this modern era, and at £200 a night (even in Oct!), a shared bathroom / toilet is not acceptable (all of my rooms are ensuite); so it never even occurred to me to check that the rooms might not be ensuite at that price We stayed two nights and as such the room was tidied during our stay - but - all the towels that we had used were folded up ‘as new’ and put back on the rail amongst the unused towels. As conscientious eco friendly users we thought this an odd thing to do. We wanted to use the minimum amount of towels possible, but I had no idea what I had or hadn’t used so quite probably the whole lot would have to be washed unnecessarily after our stay, when we restricted ourselves to using just one towel each. Based on Verena’s system, keeping your towels in your room makes sense, however there is only a pretty metal stand on which to hang them up, there is not the usual radiator on which they can be hung to dry / air when damp.

I found the hostess and the guesthouse very exciting by all means.I liked very much the options you had even though I did not used them( cinema room,things to eat snacks and drink whenever you want knowing first with the cost, area outside for breakfast and so many anther things).It would be great if we had option to have dinner in breakfast area,is the only things that I missed really!!

Verena was wonderful to work with and the house was beautiful and immaculate! We were traveling with family and had 5 children ages 6 months thru 13 years. There was plenty of room for everyone and so much to do in the area. I would recommend this house to anyone and if I am fortunate enough to return to Switzerland, I will definitely be staying again! I would also like to mention the breakfast that Verena prepared for us each morning. It was fabulous and delicious. I would suggest adding it to your stay and if I were to return I would add the dinner as well! Cannot say enough good things about the house, host, and the entire experience!

The experience was beyond my words can describe. If there is one thing that a person wants to experience, it should be a holiday in Sachseln with a stay at Verena's. Everything was perfect. Verena is very accommodating.

We organised our wedding at Verena‘s Bed and Breakfast and stayed there with our whole family. Verena is a wonderful host. She is very reliable, very accommodating and open minded. The lakeside views and the proximity to the lake and the train station makes this location very attractive. The breakfast was also delightful. I would recommend her accommodation to anyone who is looking have a relaxing experience with good hospitality. Thanks Verena for this lovely experience!

A cozy place, we slept very well in a clean and nice room. The owner is gentle and was really helpfull with us. I raccomend it absolutely. It is just in front of the station, really practice if you travel by public transport.

Infrastructures et détails d’hôtellerie exemplaire. Bien des palaces devraient s’en inspirer. Mais au-dessus de tout, l’accueil et la bienveillance de Verena font que ce (trop court) séjour dans cet établissement restera un moment hors du temps de notre voyage. Bravo et merci. Que la flamme et la passion brûle encore longtemps, pour celles et ceux qui sont sensibles et le méritent

Accueil des plus chaleureux, Verena est aux petits soins à chaque instant. Le BB est magnifique ainsi que la décoration. Tout est au millimètre il ne manque rien et le déjeuner est à l'image de cette magnifique demeure. De plus il est situé à l'orée du lac.

Das wunderschöne Haus gerade beim Bahnhof mit Seeblick bietet sehr geschmackvolle Zimmer. Es gibt allgemein zugängliche Bereiche mit Snacks und Apéro Getränken und schönen Ecken zum gemütlichen Verweilen. Das Morgenessen wird liebevoll individuell zubereitet. Rundum ein schöner Aufenthalt.

C'était un super Week-end dans un Guesthouse au top . L'accueil la propreté la literie digne d'un hôtel 5 *. Pour une sortie d'équipe où d'un petit groupe cette villa est à conseiller vivement. Verena est disponible et sooo härzlich. Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir. Dankä Vreni
