Holiday Inn Club Vacations Fox River Resort at Sheridan

We were able to get our room early, check in was very quick and staff very friendly. Our room was very clean and there was fun things for the kids in our group to do. Rec center is a nice place to gather and we ate together as there was 15 of us. Would come back again.

We arrived right at check in time and our room was not read. We were told that we could use the amenities in the meanwhile, and we would get a text when it was ready. An hour and a half later I hadn't heard anything so I stopped back at the check in desk. She made a phone call then informed me that our room was read. At 7:45 I got the text that it is ready, so the communication leaves something to be desired. The resort has a nice big pool, but it was overcrowded due to spring break. There is also a indoor water park that cost extra that is very nice but inconvenient for parents due to limited seating. Overall our stay was okay.

The price and the size of our room worked great. I think our room needed a little TLC, but we still managed to enjoy ourselves.

The property is very nice, there are trails and a little lake to go paddle. We like the waterpark, it is small but I liked it because I was able to keep and eye on my kids from the area I was sitting, plus they were able to ride all the slides by themselves. The villa we stayed in was very clean, it was like an apartment and the kitchen had everything you could possible need, it had a can opener. I was surprise, I'm not going to lie :). We really liked the place, we are coming back.

The room was horrible for the amount of money we paid. I would've left if my kids wouldn't have been upset. Overpriced.

The check in I get there at 2pm but yes I know the check in is at 4 pm but the room was not ready in till 4:45pm this is my second trip them but it was not great ..

I had high hopes for this place, but everything went wrong. Our room was 2 1/2 hours late for check-in due to not being clean and then when we arrived, it was only partially clean. They offered me a $50 credit to use it Indoor waterpark as compensation. I thought this was included in the rate but it was not. It was very misleading from the pictures I never was able to use it $50 credit because we went to the waterpark and they were over capacity. Apparently they let in the public for a fee, and do not receive enough spots for their guest. The last thing was that our building was very difficult to find . absolutely no signs saying where the buildings are and there’s about 20 buildings to choose from. There is no food at all anywhere in the area, except for the waterpark that was closed to us.

DON’T SPEND YOUR SPRING BREAK HERE. It’s cold & miserable outside. came to this resort for pirates cay indoor water park. checked in go to the park about 5:30. Our room smelled like cooked fish. front desk informed us that the restaurant is closed that is at the resort but the restaurant at the water park had pizza & would be open. We get to the Water park & they are busy. It was about 44 dollars including the taxes for myself & my daughter to enter. We walk around & there are two slides that were open. The small play splash pad area for smaller children was closed & so was their small lazy River, the bathrooms were small & disgusting. We ask when they would open the lazy River, they informed us it was closed due to “maintenance issues” but it would be opening about 6:15pm it is currently 6pm so we decided to hang around to check if we could order some pizza. We go to the restaurant inside the water park & surprise they are closed no one informed us they close promptly at 6pm. Then we went to ask the lifeguards what was up bc it’s already 6:15 & the other side has not been opened up yet. A manger informed us a child pooped in the pool & that is why they were closed & will remain closed the rest of the night. Great. They refund us our money, so we decide to check out the pool & hot tub which surprise IS SEASONAL & not open. The pool was overcrowded with people some playing football, there is no lifeguard. The bathrooms are gross & small. This place is really inconvenient!!!!!!

Did not stay the night in our room. We found cockroaches and were disgusted that we drove the hour and a half back home at night. They couldn’t accommodate us. Could not provide proof that they have roaches so they refuse to refund. Good luck to anyone staying here. We also came back from the waterpark to our door open although we double checked to make sure it was locked before we left our room. Never staying here again.
