Look I knew it was gonna be cheap and basic but I was expecting more from a hotel. First time I have ever stayed in a hotel that charges you for parking and WiFi. Room was too hot and the fan in my room was pathetic. No air con at all. Food - I had a cheeseburger and chips about the same size as a McDonald’s double cheeseburger but 5 x more expensive and 3 x less tasty

Turned up at hotel with family and I forgot to book one room, Sam on the desk made sure I could stay close to them and made sure I got my room booked correctly, lovely member of the team. Old building but full of character, wear and tear should not be mistaken for cleanliness as it was cleaned to the best it could be.

Place is like something from a nightmare - fine if £50 a night but for these prices it was a steep ask. I heard the Premier Inn was better value and nicer, so would recommend that instead.

Visited tunbridgewells to officiate a game of league cricket , ground is few yards away from the hotel . Very convenient. Staff are super friendly . Very spacious rooms with clean comfortable bed . Overall very pleasant experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mount Ephraim Travel Lodge.n Tunbridge Wells. We received a warm welcome by the Staff who immediately helped with the parking machine and accessing WiFi. Our room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and the evening snacks and meals, although limited, were well prepared and cheerfully served. At all times the Staff were friendly and helpful. We shall certainly return to Mount Ephraim.

A very convenient hotel only 10-15 minutes from the station. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff who solved my issue (no clean towels) quickly and professionally. I slept well and checking in/out took no time at all. Very affordable. Can only really fault the towels, which was a little annoying, and my door being difficult to open. Neither key card worked reliably but I got it open in the end each time. My room was very spacious and the bathroom was clean and a good size too. I did not use the bath or shower but the sink ran water fine. The bathroom did have some cobwebs right in the corners and the window frames were a little old and dirty but hardly a major issue. A few spiders about but nothing substantial. For £32 you really can't complain. Would definitely stay here again and would definitely reccommend if you need a cheap hotel in Tunbridge Wells.

The intro: We stayed here for a special weekend, primarily due to its proximity to the restaurant we were visiting on the Saturday night. The pros: It was a 10 min casual stroll to the restaurant we had a table booked at. The breakfast was nice, with the usual affair of fruit juices, cereals, pastries, and cooked options. The bed was comfortable enough and the check-in, check-out, and breakfast times weren't too restrictive. The cons: The building is around 150-200 years old and it feels like it; every floor board creaks and the rooms have a very strange layout. Parking at the hotel is luck of the draw, as there's probably fewer than 20 spaces total; we were fortunate enough to park on the street outside. Checking in was an ordeal: the lad at the desk was perfectly pleasant, but he was all on his own in a cubicle, with a line of people waiting to check in. Summary: Given the location, it is hard to complain too much, just set your expectations if you intend to stay here. This is an old building.

This place looks Grand but is very tired and in desperate need of a refurb. The room I had was OK, bed was comfy but that is about it. Some of my colleagues had worse experiences like no main light in the room. As a budget hotel I didn't expect it to be a palace but its really dated and they must be providing housing relief for the council as there were a few "guests" that were quite unsavoury. Staff were nice but i feel for them, with some of the "guests" being quite unruly and abusive towards other paying guests. Breakfast was Ok if you had cereal but cooked stuff looked rank. I wouldn't stay with my family and I wouldn't stay with clients, in fact I wouldn't stay again.
