OK and no more.
Definitely not a destination for the business traveler.
I stayed there for two nights as I was working locally. The restaurants both closed too early for me to eat on the first night - but that was a good thing on reflection.
Location is OK if you want to roll around in a fluffy dressing gown for 24 hours, but not for anything else.
Room was OK but ridiculously hot; radiator on full blast on arrival, couldn't open the windows more than 3 inches and no air con, so two terrible sticky nights.
Night two - ate in the "relaxed, Japanese-inspired" restaurant as I didn't fancy the "fine dining" at £80/head, and regretted it.
Soulless (I was the only diner in, despite the impression given on booking that they were rammed, and the only time they could fit me in was at 19.45) Food was terrible, pretentious, waay to salty and vastly over-priced.
Wagamama-style food at Central Tokyo prices (£9 for four very average Gyoza, £22 for a terribly-executed (though painfully-pretentiously presented) pork belly ramen. £6 a bottle for run of the mill cider - the cheapest option by far...)
Spent the night chugging endless bottles of water, in an overheated room, whilst wondering how the heck to justify the bill to my client.
I have no issue leaving a poor review, as I won't be going back - if I decide to go for a spa weekend somewhere with my partner there are hundreds of places I'd rather go first, where I wouldn't feel like I'd been mugged
