Cosy Cottage Thermal Holiday Park

We were recommended to come as we had an RV and we’re not familiar with Rotorua. the benefits were, close proximity to Rotorua main town, affordable nightly rate, helpful reception and well placed back lot RV powered sites. It was quiet and tranquil however a little run down and old. The 9pm noise curfew is a little firm and the Sulfur smell can be a little much at times depending on where you are site situated. The in-house thermal pools are a must do and very relaxing. We would come again.

Loved the campervan/suv overnight parking area at the back. Double park separated by tall trees (bushes) to give some privacy. Individual pin provided for entry/exit. Quiet and respectful of 9 pm quiet. Office hours 9-10 am & 2-6 pm. Gates are closed outside of office hours. Onsite laundry, large fully equipped kitchen, hot tubs (we never used but those who were seemed to enjoy). 300 mg free wifi!!

We found sites for motorhome’s sites were very small and difficult to access. There was one entry road and the road was blocked by a motorhome using the dump station.By the time he finished there were six vehicles held up. We could not fit our car on site with motorhome and were not prepared to pay another $25 to park on site so left . The office was busy and their staff grumpy. It is close to the hospital and ohinemutu. There are much better campgrounds in Rotorua.

Location was perfect, close to attractions and shops but didn’t hear city noise. Bathroom facilities were nice and clean. The thermal pools were amazing to relax in. My daughter loved the normal pool and the playground. The tent sites could have been bigger and the wifi ******.

Just left staying at this campground in 2 units, one with bathroom 1 without with 3 kids 2 adults. Very happy all round. Clean, tidy units beds comfy. The pool was exceptionally good on hot days for all. I looked around at the camping kitchen and toilet facility's all very clean tidy and well equipped for tenting and camper vans (I will be back for camping for sure for any of their options to stay). Walk to Lake very close, very handy to the township and other tourist Hotspot. Very friendly receptionist. ... felt definately a cozy camp ground with people coming and going. Will be back thank you

Really enjoyed our stay in our motorhome at Cosy Cottage. The free spa pools were a joy at the end of a busy day's sightseeing The facilities are clean. Excellent showers! Some pitches had privacy screening. The lady at reception gave us lots of helpful information about things to do. She also had vouchers for a couple of the attractions. There is a small corner shop and a fish and chips shop nearby.
