The Haven

Stayed this weekend to visit my partner who was working in the area Such a lovely hotel, the rooms are clean, bed are comfy. The area is convenient, its all within driving distance to the hadrians wall spots/museums or there are some lovely walks right on the door step, and it's lovely and quiet. The breakfast is great (even veggie options!), the guy who runs it was really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.Will definitely be staying again and would recommend to anyone wanting a nice countryside getaway

Great location, close to village centre, pubs etc. Good breakfast selection. Very friendly owner with everything you might need provided.

I spent a couple of nights here last weekend with my mum for a short photography trip. The B&B is fantastic, the twin room that we shared was spacious, bright and airy with a west facing window. The room was clean and comfortable and a lovely clean bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were available as well as chocolate and biscuits on our arrival. Breakfast was first class with a great choice of both hot and cold food. I very much enjoyed the home made muesli and the crab omelette. I loved the idea of fresh tea/coffee supplies left out on the landing meaning we could help ourselves to extra milk without having to ask. I would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this welcoming guest house. Our host Ian was always friendly and helpful. Our super king bed was v comfortable and our room was spacious with excellent en-suite. Lovely views over the valley too. Breakfast was great with a wide choice of hot dishes.

The Haven really does live up to it’s name. Peaceful, quiet with lovely views across Rothbury and surrounding countryside. Our hosts were extremely friendly and the breakfast choice was varied and delicious. Our room was spaciousness and clean. We were given tea and cake on our arrival - a welcome and unexpected treat!!

I thought it was lovely been met with a cup of tea and cake a lovely welcome. The owners were very helpful printing information for us about the surrounding area. Every details had been thought of to make the stay enjoyable. The choice and quality of the breakfast was exceptional I would highly recommend this as a central place to stay.

Super 3 night stay at The Haven. Warm welcome with tea and biscuits on arrival. Good recommendations of where to eat. Wonderful breakfast selection that set us up for the day.

The Haven was amazingly clean (surfaces, walls, floors). Plenty of on-site parking, Great breakfasts, Bed was very comfortable and supplied with good quality linen.
