Krainerhutte Baden Horrible stay 849826042 No. No. No. You do NOT want to stay here. This is my first review EVER. My first night here REQUIRES one. My husband and I booked a 4 nights stay in this miserable hotel for our 1st trip to Austria. Day 1 (Thursday): The location outside of the city is great. The accommodations and surroundings are wonderful but it all means NOTHING if you can't sleep!!! The entire hotel has no AC, which is fine for the winter, but Austria has very warm summers. This is nothing new so it makes no sense that we were dying in a 35 degree (C) room because it lacks AC. I've never stayed in a hotel that lacked AC, not even Alaska. We were given a small fan that simply could not have possibly cooled the room, but did manage to move the hot, thick, stale air around a bit. For the few moments that we did manage to dose off, we were awaken by the extremely loud group located on the lawn, outside the bar, just below us; loud laughing, cursing, LOUD group sing-alongs... I always travel with ear plugs because I realize that it would be quite unreasonable to expect complete quiet anywhere. Still, my earplugs and the white noise of the fan could do very little to mitigate the disruption. When I called the front desk to complain (almost 1AM) I learned that the night reception folk speak no English. That required me to get up, get dressed and go all the way down to reception, after typing my complaint into a language translator on my phone to show to the person at the front desk. Approximately over an hour later (almost 0300), the noise quited a bit and we were able to sleep. Day 2 (Friday): As we left to spend our 1st day in town, we told the front desk that the "do not disturb" button on our door appeared to not work and that we requested no one enter our room. We were told by someone at the desk that they would be sure to let the cleaning staff know. We returned to find that our room had been entered, cleaned and bottles we were saving to refill had been removed. Also, the cleaning staff had left us with only one towel. When we returned to the hotel that evening, passing by the front desk, the same gentleman who checked us in stopped us and told us he learned of the previous night's noise disturbance and appologized. He went on to tell us that the hotel typically holds events that might be a bit noisy in a separate area of the hotel, but that the previous loud guest that were below our room were participants in a conference that ended and they were celebrating a bit louder than the hotel anticipated. He ended by telling me that a wedding was scheduled for Saturday, but we should be uninterrupted because the entire wedding and reception would take place away from our room. Day 3 (Saturday): While at breakfast (a buffet) we noticed 2 or 3 of the guest bringing their dog to the restaurant (something we've become accustomed to). What shocked and disgusted us was when we witnessed someone, who appeared to be a supervisor (based upon w
