Craven Garth Cottages

We love visiting Craven Garth as it's so peaceful and beautiful. The cottages were warm and the log burner added extra cosiness. The beds are comfy and the place is very clean. It's a great base for exploring the beauty of the moors. We would definitely recommend and will return.

If ya love the Yorkshire countryside this selection of cottages is perfect, best views imaginable, great accommodation and warm welcome feel. If I could give it more stars I would! Been 4 times just for weekend breaks and never want to leave the place hahaa. Awesome. 👍😊

Amazing stay at Craven Garth Cottages. We took our border collie on her first holiday and she absolutely loved it. She especially loved dipping her toes in the stream which is just a short walk from the cottage. The views from the cottage were stunning. The cottage was so cosy, clean and had everything in it that we needed. The welcome pack that included fresh milk, orange juice, jams and bread was such a nice touch. The beds were extremely comfortable, it was a struggle getting up in the mornings. If your looking for somewhere nice and relaxing to unwind then this is the place to go. Jeremy was so very welcoming and friendly. He gave us lots of advice about walking routes around the surrounding areas. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in Mustard Cottage unfortunately as soon as we walked in the cottage smelt very strongly of a greasy fry up. Im assuming this must be ingrained in the walls as its a old building. The front door could have done with some kind of blind on it as there was no privacy as such at night when u have the lights on. The decor was very dated and the storage heaters looked at least 20 years old. Also its very dark inside which lets it down. The surrounding area was ok tho. If you have high standards i wouldnt advice staying in this particular cottage.

Lovely accommodation with beautiful scenery. Close to the pretty villages of Helmsley, Hutton Le Hole and Pickering. Whitby and Scarborough a short drive away also. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. Lovely walks just outside the door.

We've stayed here once before and loved it. So nice to find somewhere affordable in a beautiful setting for a family who enjoy walking. The cottage is super cosy, has everything you need and is done out so that you're not constantly worrying about bringing the dirt in. Corby Wood has wonderful views and we love sitting at the dining table, eating and playing boardgames when we're not out walking. We were a little cold at nights in the upstairs bedroom. The owners have added a new heater but I was still cold in the night. I think just a thicker winter duvet or spare blankets would do it but for the price I'll very happily just bring my own next time if I'm staying in winter. You can't go wrong with this cosy little cottage and super-friendly owners.
