I never leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn fellow travelers — especially minority guests — about my deeply upsetting experience at this property. I am a Lifetime Platinum Elite member and have Ambassador status for the last four consecutive years. I’ve stayed over 1,500 nights with Marriott, and never in all those years have I experienced such appalling service and blatant disregard for loyalty, cleanliness, and basic human decency. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel unwelcome. The front desk associate, Georgina, was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Her demeanor was cold, her tone dismissive, and the look in her eyes said everything — I was not welcome. Despite upgrade-eligible rooms being available, she flat-out refused to honor it. I was rushed into one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in: filthy bathroom, broken shower door, and unfilled toiletries. Multiple service requests went ignored. When I voiced my concerns and requested to speak to a manager, I was met the next day by Tommasa Aquino. His response was not only inadequate — it was combative. After I shared my feeling that I was being racially discriminated against, his attitude became even more defensive and disrespectful. He wouldn't even look me in the eye while dismissing my concerns. His behavior was appalling and unfit for a managerial role. Let me be clear: the service I received was not just poor — it was discriminatory. I noticed stark differences in how staff interacted with non-minority guests, who were treated with warmth and enthusiasm. I was treated like a second-class guest, my loyalty ignored, and my concerns brushed off. This is a stunning property — but it is being destroyed by a toxic, unwelcoming staff and a management team that condones their behavior. No guest should have to feel disrespected or unsafe, especially in 2025. And to make matters worse, getting to or from the hotel is a hassle — no direct taxi or Uber access, and guests are forced to drag their luggage down stairs. Unless there are serious changes in staff and management, this hotel should not carry the Marriott name. If you're a minority traveler — or simply someone who values respect and basic hospitality — I strongly advise you to stay elsewhere.
