Swan River Inn

The place is so disappointing. They double booked our room so offered us a suite. 2 bedrooms two bath. Appears nice until you go into the second bedroom and it is musty and linens damp feeling. Has a mysterious staircase that if you look up the ceiling is caving in and towels on the floor. Lovely tub has no water to it sink in second bathroom doesn’t work. Can’t lock front door we propped it with a chair. Pillows in main bedroom disgusting. When we got to room after play and found these unacceptable issues we could not get anyone from the hotel to answer our call. This is a risk on their part as to not having some sort of emergency call number needless to say irresponsible. Save your money. Book elsewhere. The better business bureau should know of these infractions this hotel presents let alone the health department

This is a good location, the property itself has promise. The owner should sell it and someone else could take care of it properly. The room clearly wasn't cleaned at all. The towels were in disarray and obviously dirty, the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, and the bedspread had concerning stains. I'm pretty sure the sheets hadn't been changed in a while either. Neither the towels nor sheets were white, which is kind of a basic thing in hotels so that you can tell they're clean. We stayed in "Leather and Lace." There were numerous fuzzy pillows which we didn't even want to touch after seeing the state of the rest of the room. There was something dripping down one of the walls, and several of the other walls had random "things" stuck to them. There were long black hairs all over the floor. The owner was trying to cook, clean, and manage the front desk herself - she just needs to hire more staff.

I loved this place. I chose it solely because of its proximity to the Bigfork Playhouse. Some of the previous reviews had me very nervous, but I assume they were coming from people who wanted brand name hotels. The Swan River Inn has so much character and uniqueness, it is very much one of a kind. I stayed in the Leather and Lace suite which was clean and easy meaning there were plenty of plugs and coffee and shampoo. It was quiet and quaint and comfortable. I have never seen anything like the brick shower. I can't wait to return and try all the rooms.

My friend and I stayed in the Art Deco room. It says lovely. Hot water, which was lukewarm, could've been hotter, other than that no complaints. My husband and I stayed in the Crystal Pallace room in June, it exceeded or expectations. View SAS lovely sitting on the balcony or from room. Not only a jet hot tub but the walk in shower is a amazing!
