Super 8 by Wyndham Rockford South

Sleep under a bush or in your car. I’d pay to NOT stay at this vile property again. The General Manager, Leah Beasley, is the perfect poster child for this nasty place.. In short: they scraped the bottom of the barrel to find her. More scathing details are uploaded under the photos.

Had a reservation secured by credit card. Arrived at midnight, no desk clerk, only a sign on door to call phone number if unattended office. Called 3 times left messages and waited 30 minutes. No answer, no returned call even next day, no clerk. I called Wyndham Customer service and they were unable to reach hotel. I had to travel 10 miles to find another hotel then return to area next day for my plans. I stopped by hotel. They confirmed receiving all 3 calls and clerk said they do not answer phone or check in guests with reservations after evening clerk leaves. No apologies. If you can check in be aware the main entry door has a sign explaining how to handle trash, which apparently is an issue enough to greet their customers this way. Horrible Horrible experience after reserving a day in advance with credit card and no communication that midnight check in would result in this. Not recommended. Saw other people's comments, glad I didn't stay there.

Bed bugs and no help about it. They accused me of breaking their leaking sink that way they could give me a refund while charging more money. The desk wasn't present even at 8 am to verify the bugs, so after I left they decided to screw me over.

Terrible hotel and I'm very disappointed with TripAdvisor and Wyndham! For starters when I went to check in the manager was not on site and there was a new employee there who had no clue what he was doing. Nothing against him because he was very polite. The room was terrible. The comforter had stains all over it. The curtains for the windows were hanging off. The lamps were missing light bulbs. The peephole for the room door had toilet paper covering it. The sink counter had burns all over it. I stayed in the room just long enough to look around before I left out and decided not to stay. Upon asking for a refund because the room was filthy and it didn't feel safe, I was told by TripAdvisor that a refund could not be issued and that I would be given a $15 credit. No thank you. The next time a hotel is needed, TripAdvisor will not be a site that I use to book!
