ITvara Cottage

I stayed in Itvara penthouse with family. Perfect place to relax after a hectic year. Comfortable rooms, and a large open area to sit and chat and sip coffee with your loved ones, simultaneously enjoying the scenic view from large windows- one of my favourite features. The place is aesthetically decorated with positive energy all around. After a nice walk amidst the abundance of flowers, one can sit down by the window, gaze at the trees or the Ganga, read a book or write poetry. The food is delicious, home made. The hosts are extremely cordial and welcoming. The only point to remember is- if you want to move around in the city frequently, visit in off season, otherwise to avoid the crowd, just stay in the Itvara Cottages or the Penthouse and rejuvenate yourself.

Wanted to stay in a place where our family (of six) could have some space, comfort, facilities of a home and our expectation was not just met but was exceeded. The four bed room, two floor villa situated inside a residential apartment complex has all the facilities a family would possibly need. While most home stays have a barely functional kitchen- to our pleasant surprise here we found crockery, bowl, plates, utensils, refrigerator, microwave oven, and a stove. Gopal ji the caretaker was kind, friendly and the breakfast he made for us for the two days we stayed was excellent. Another highlight was the calm, serene environment and coexistence with nature. Spotting an owlet during the night and greeted by chirping sparrows and numerous winged visitors next morning was an absolute delight. Although were a few home maintenance issues noticed which caused some inconvenience- deserves five stars and I will highly recommend the place for families visiting Rishikesh.

Good place to stay out of the busy city centers of Rishikesh/Tapovan. Pallavi and Manisha are very kind hosts who make sure you have everything you need. Rooms are nice and clean. I also liked the beautiful flowers in the gardens around it. Made me happy! I can recommend this place.

The main concerns during our stay were as follows: Cleanliness: The room was not properly cleaned, and there was noticeable seepage, which created an unpleasant environment. Condition of Furniture: The furniture in the room needs to be required improvement, and the bed appeared unfinished and in need of proper maintenance. Lack of Basic Amenities: Requests for a chair, a small table, and even a bottle of mineral water were denied by the caretaker. No Provision of Essential Items: When the weather turned cold due to rain, I requested a blanket but was informed that no blanket was available. Considering the tariff and the standard of service provided, I find this experience unacceptable. I expected better quality and service based on the pricing of Rs 2800 and location of the homestay. One can easily find good place in the same society with better tariff.

We highly recommended iTvara stay. Luxury, peace , welcoming. Home cooked meals were delicious. Clean and cozy place. As an elderly couple, we were truly touched by the warmth and care provide by the host and care taker. Perfect place. Recommended

The best cottage I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms (there was even a tv by the shower), and high quality service. Also, you'll get the Ganges view 🪟 from the balcony or terrace.
