Dome Hotel

Wonderful stay at the Dome. Beautiful room, lovely service, great breakfast and incredible location. We used the small steam room which was held privately for us for almost 2 hours. We had cocktails on the roof terrace and we took their recommendation on where to rent bikes. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

A charming place to stay in Riga’s Old Town. This boutique hotel was an ideal base for our three night stay in Riga, ideally situated for exploring the Old Town. The hotel is a former Glove Making factory, with remnants of the building’s historic fabric, complimented by its recent decoration giving it a unique charm and character. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast and evening dining was delicious. The tasting menu with wine pairing was beautifully and knowledgeably presented.

To make it short its a small motel in the heart of Riga Old Town. Location is excellent and that’s about it! What they call suits are in awful condition and outdated, view is simply pathetic. Breakfast was great in the tiny cafeteria downstairs. No clue how this place got its 5* rating but definitely not 5 nor even 4 stars hotel. If you want excellent location close to everywhere in the Old Town then this is the perfect hotel for you, if not, then look somewhere else.

I had such a lovely stay at the Dome hotel. The room was lovely and quiet, and the bed was so comfortable. I enjoyed the use of the sauna and hammam facilities. Great breakfast with hot dishes made to order, and very kind and friendly staff throughout the hotel. The hotel is well-located in the old town close to lots of sights, restaurants, and cafes. I will definitely stay here again if and when I return to lovely Riga!

Overall the experience wasn’t bad but wasn’t what i was hoping for. I booked E Benz for the airport pick up and there was no Benz when i got there. The polite receptionist asked me how was my airport pick up when i said it was okay he just kept quiet and didn’t mention it. I booked a deluxe suite, they first sent me to a tiny room at the 3rd fliir I believe it was 301 and I refused to take it then they showed me 202 which was a bigger room (suit). Both rooms had terrible view. The room itself is outdated but nicely decorated and the bathroom is okay with lots of amenities. What’s really special about this place is it’s unique location its food steps to all the gorgeous sightseeing in beautiful Riga, you can’t beat that. The breakfast experience was amazing as well i guess that makes it up for the other stuff. If im visiting Riga again i will probably stay here again.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Great location near Dome Square. Really friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous breakfasts. Really recommend this hotel. Only slight criticism is that the sides of the bath are so high it’s difficult to get in and out!

Excellent hotel, two minutes walk from Dome Square. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Lovely room and amazing breakfasts! Only downside, if I have to have one, is that the sides of the bath are so high it is very difficult to get in and out.

We booked the Dome Hotel for a weekend break and stayed in their Deluxe Suite Room 301 on a sunny weekend. We arrived earlier than check in so were fully expecting to be told to come back later, however, Daniel, (I'm semi confident that was his name, working on the 9th June) was an absolute star, he gave us good recommendations for the area in general along with a map, provided tasty complimentary drinks (which is no small feat for my "slightly" picky other half), and set us up with a reservation at 3 Pavaru Restorans, which was an excellent restaurant with quality food and presentation. Very impressed with his service in particular. The room was immaculately presented, with a small study type area in the entry, leading into a large bedroom with a comfortable Super King (6 foot) bed, quality sheets at the right tog for the temperature. Wooden floors throughout with a couple of neatly positioned rugs and a warm quality Bluetooth speaker perfect for your Spotify playlist. The bathroom had a double sink, bidet and a large bath/shower combo with lovely, mango scented complimentary shower gel and shampoo. Windows open out to the quiet, cobbled street below with a view to a church spire. Overall, the Dome Hotel set the tone for a wonderful weekend in Latvia. We will certainly be back to Riga and the Dome Hotel in the future.
