The Royal Inn

It a nice hotel. For the area. Staff was great Needs some updates. Need new beds to hard. Pillow were flat. Heat didn't work all that great. Can't set your own temperature. Seams like the owner doesn't update anything at the hotel. I stay 1 week a year their because of work. In the past 10 years nothing has changed. I can't see paying 150 a night to stay an hour away

Small and older but very clean establishment. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

The motel was very clean but very outdated and could use newer furniture is reason for the 3 stars. The restaurant and lounge was fantastic! 5 stars

The property is on a major route for easy access. The managers were accommodating to our special request for checking in early. They were very busy the weekend we stayed that we had to make 2 separate reservations for each nights stay. They gave us the key to the second room in the morning when we checked out of the first room. The continental breakfast was toast with jams, OJ, milk, cereal, and pastries, coffee and tea. Restaurant on the grounds was not open for breakfast.

The inn was clean….we had two rooms and was in the updated section… the restaurant had several specials (not extremely reasonable) however we didn’t partake… breakfast was definitely Continental…. Coffee, cold cereal, bread with toaster and prepackaged sweet rolls.. we had a great trip and saw several elk in Elk County….

I think they need more outlets in the rooms. Maybe one in the bathroom area. Thank you. We did enjoy our stay. The food was great at the lounge too.

Check in was extremely slow, especially considering that I reserved the rooms over a month ago. The beds were like trying to sleep on concrete.

When we arrived to check in, had to ring the bell to get service. Waited about five minutes, then this staff comes behind the desk and this is what she says. “ What do you want?” Wasn’t sure how I was suppose to respond, since I’m standing at the motel check in counter. But I decided to keep my cool and said that we had a reservation. Then the next night we decided to check out this fine dinning restaurant they posted about. We walked in about 7:25, then the server had the nerve to say to us, the kitchen closes at 9. If you going to order anything, and we close at that time also. We decided to just to order an appetizer, and a drink and leave. But, two other regular customers came in and they never said a word about what time the kitchen closes. So now it’s time to check out, we let them know that the room was very hot and we had the heater off. Not sure if you guys knew something was wrong. She laughed and said yeah that’s one of the hottest rooms, it’s next to the broiler room. How rude can this place be. If they knew this, and this place had so many empty rooms, why would you give it to us or anyone. So from the first day till the last day. The service was terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. Now if you are looking for a great place to eat and feel welcomed. Drive a mile down road to Summit Inn. We ended up eating there twice and the food was wonderful and the service was Amazing!!! We will definitely be staying at the Summit next visit.

I appreciated the owner of the hotel, trying to help us figure out why our television wasn’t working well. After sending a young person, he was able to figure out how to make the remote work the television be great to have some instructions in the room outlining the process.
