Aquila Eco Retreat

Our three night stay at Aquila was exactly the tonic we needed to unwind and recharge our batteries. It is perfectly located to take advantage of the views of the valley, and the verandah bathtub was heaven after days exploring the wineries and surrounding areas. The hot/cold therapy is a must - incredibly refreshing and invigorating. Alice and Jason have thought of everything to make guests comfortable. The beds are amazing! We had some very cold and wet weather one day of our stay, and Alice happily delivered extra firewood and umbrellas to us. The glamping tent stayed warm and cosy despite the wild weather outside! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Aquila and will definitely come and stay again next time we are in Tasmania.

What a perfect weekend getaway! We especially loved the outdoor bath and sauna with amazing views. The tiny home was perfectly set up with a log fire, fully stocked kitchen and the comfiest bed. Would definitely come back to Aquila Eco Retreat.

What a beautiful place to stay just outside of the historic town of Richmond and less than half an hour from home made it so easy to travel to. Peace and quiet and a few days of relaxing were just perfect. Take the hot and cold therapeutic session, it’s exhilarating!

We had a wonderful stay and a perfect first night in Tasmania. Melaleuca had everything we needed - we didn't even make it down to the shared BBQ space until after we'd packed the car up to leave. We arrived and didn't leave our pod until checkout! The heater had been turned on before we arrived which was nice. The fire was enough to keep the pod cosy all night. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were just right. Lots of mood lighting!

This way by far the most private and luxurious stays ive ever had, as Queenslanders it was such a pleasure to explore the state of tassie and retreat back to this cost space with everything ready to go ❤️ i would recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday destination, we couldve easily spent a day just to enjoy comfort!! The owners are beautiful people also 6 stars!

Everything we’d hoped for. So much care and effort had clearly gone into setting this site up - just perfect in each and every way. So idyllic and restful, we left the better for our stay. A serene backdrop a crackling wood fire and a glass of local Pinot, sounds like a dream right!
