Princess Sun Hotel

Lovely hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean. We arrived late and had sandwiches, drinks and fruit left in the fridge for us. Balcony was big with partial sea view. Pools and areas was clean and plentiful. Slides not masssive but big enough for both younger children and preteens id say. Floats were allowed in the pool too. Food in main restaurant was pretty good for AI. Lots of choice, live cooking stations, food terrace was nice to sit out on. Bar was good as were available drinks. Pool bar was a bit slow service, food at the pool snack bar was great We used the provided bus service to take us to sister hotel and beach. Food here was really good too and bar service was good. Lots of beds available on the beach. The hotel is quite far from airport so was a lengthy transfer but we didn't mind really. Hill up and down from the hotel is quite steep but we found it manageable. We never went to see any entertainment purely our choice, kids were mostly shattered in the evenings. Son joined in day time activities such as football he really enjoyed this, staff were friendly and fun We accessed the spa on check out day for showers, clean and adequate, you get them to yourself with towels provided when you book a time slot. We would return here for as more quieter relaxing holiday

We have just returned from a week at the Princess Sun! We were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the negative reviews and genuinely wonder what people expect in a 4* these days. There is plenty of choice of food throughout the day, with lots of salads, fruits, meats etc. the pizza at the pool bar is absolutely amazing and they make them constantly in the pizza ovens throughout the day. Drinks could be better in terms of the cocktails etc, but again for a 4* I was happy with the quality and there are plenty of soft drink options at the pool bar too (including gorgeous peach and strawberry slushies). Carmelia who works behind the bar is absolutely brilliant! She can make about 5 drinks at a time and it’s fascinating . The beach bus runs every half an hour and the time table is available at the hotel and on the bus stop outside. The drivers are really friendly too and wont leave you hanging around if they see you are waiting. Its only a 9 seater bus though so if you want to go to the beach, i would bear that in mind. Towel cards are provided at the start of your stay (and towels can be changed every 2 days) and on your last day you need to make sure you get the cards back once you hand your towels in. Luckily we didnt get charged for not having these but we hadnt realised we needed to get the cards back from the spa and there was no one around when we took them back. The reception staff are really friendly! Particularly Poppy who is extremely helpful. The little shop just outside the hotel is pretty reasonable in terms of prices, but there are a few shops at the bottom of the hill to the right. The hill is quite steep so if you have mobility issues you may be best off seeing if the beach bus can drop you off at the bottom of the hill and i know he picked people up on his way back up if he spotted them. If you turn left out of the hotel and walk down to the safari quad place there is a small hill to the left with a beach bar at the bottom called Mosa and a restaurant to the right called Lythos. Both are beautiful and extremely chilled. Mosa is free entry as well and does lovely food and cocktails. My friends hired a car and we were fortunate enough to go into lindos with them, it would have been nice to explore a little more if we had had time but you could park at st pauls bay for €7 all day. If you prefer then i think the bus was only €3! Again, prices and timetables can be seen at reception and the bus stops at the bottom of the hill. There are plenty of beds too and yes some people do reserve them but no one says anything and there’s still beds at 10ish! The three pool areas are well maintained with the smaller pool (with the beige beds/parasols) is the quieter spot. The animation team do a lot of activities during the day and dont pester you too much if you want to just sit and chill. Overall we couldnt fault the food, the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms!

Just got back from 10 days at this hotel, as a young couple we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend. don’t listen to all the bad food reviews, the food isn’t amazing but there is always something to eat even if your a picky eater. i would recommend getting the free transfer to the beach and getting lunch there, i think the food is nicer ( food and drink is also free at the beach bar ) the entertainment team is great and there is always activities around the pool like water polo, volleyball, football, darts etc. There are always sun-beds by the pool so you don’t really need to get up early to reserve unless you want the same ones everyday or your with a big family. the rooms are lovely and get cleaned everyday. i would recommend a sea view because the views are great, i think all the rooms have balcony’s unless your on bottom floor. there is a large choice of drinks and the bar staff are very helpful. there is a steep hill to get to the hotel but at the bottom of the hill there are lots of shops and a few bars if you want to go out for the evening. i would recommend going to lindos you can get a bus there 3 euro each way. there is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. you can also rent a boat or do crazy sofa at the beach transfer. we rented a boat for 1 hour and paid 70 euro, definitely worth it you get great views and it’s a nice experience. (you don’t need a licence) Definitely recommend, had a great holiday here!

Just returned from 10 days at Princess Sun. The hotel is excellent. Our room was modern with comfortable beds and a lovely modern bathroom. I was worried the sofa bed would be uncomfortable as my daughter is 12 and already 5’7 but it was absolutely fine. We arrived late (2am) and were welcomed to our room with water and sandwiches in the fridge. There are 3 pools (one mainly taken up with the slides). We never had a problem getting sunbeds even at 9.30am. The staff at this hotel are wonderful. Camilla at the pool bar works tirelessly and is unflappable and immaculately dressed. My daughter says she is a style icon! All the staff work very hard and are friendly but I must single out Poppy on reception who was so kind when my daughter was ill. The food was lovely with a wide choice. We had whole cooked sea bream and sea bass to choose from one day. There is something for all tastes, including a kids section with things like chips and nuggets and there is always a pasta option. We also loved the food at the pool snack bar. Freshly made pizzas and gyros as well as salads, chips and other options to choose from made a great casual dining option. On an evening the snack bar becomes the Greek taverner. You can book to eat here and you only pay for drinks (water is included). We really enjoyed this. The food is served on shared platters and is delicious, offering more traditional Greek fare. There is also the beach bar which you can access via the regular shuttle bus. We preferred the staff at the pool bar as it was for us a friendlier service, but it was ok. I should say you can’t get cocktails at the beach bar, they don’t serve spirits except for the option to pay 5 euro for a mojito. The pool bar offered all options and for us was more relaxed. The animation team are full of energy and I loved the daily water gym. Almost all the entertainment is run by them in the purpose built theatre. I love how they dance through the hotel with the signs for their showtimes. It always made me smile Finally we visited the spa which was very relaxing and enjoyed massages and a facial. The staff were excellent and we had a lovely morning using the facilities which include a large jacuzzi, steam room and sauna in between treatments. I would definitely recommend Princess Sun and their staff and would be happy to return.

The hotel is great and we enjoyed a lot our time here. The staff at the bars and restaurant is extremely friendly and very attentive. The food was very good and very tasty. The reception staff very helpful and always smiling. Our room had pool view and exceeded our expectations. Animation team is fantastic, trying to engage everyone around the pool, adults and children, in all the fun activities. Mini disco was amazing for the little ones. You can always find sunbeds available at the pool. Overall we had a great time and I recommend this hotel without a doubt.

We had the most wonderful stay here! Lovely comfortable room which was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Pool/beach towels are also provided. Bathroom slightly on the smaller side but not a problem for us at all. Youtube on the TV was a plus for the kids during our wind down before dinner. Animation team are the absolute best!! They remember everyone by name which is a lovely personal touch and are great at getting you involved. They honestly are the friendliest team with amazing energy!!! Big thank you to all of you Pink Wave/Ciao Club!!! We enjoyed the evening entertainment too. Shuttle to beach is great and we never had to wait too long and the driver is lovely. Beach bar is beautiful, food (pizza, gyros, salad etc) was great and ice cream and slushies/drinks included with the all inclusive. Pool bar queue could get a little long but the staff work so well to make the wait as short as possible. We all loved the strawberry and peach slushies on offer, great in the heat!! Pool snack bar had a good offering, we only lunched here and at the beach bar! Breakfast and dinner we chose in the restaurant, small issue for my kids was the flies around the food but this could well be seasonal. We always found something to eat and dining staff were pleasant. I booked in a hydra facial at the spa on our last day, Maria was fantastic!! She was knowledgeable and friendly, it was so relaxing I was drifting in and out of sleep!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again for slightly longer! Thank you!!

I have just returned from 10 days at Princess Sun with my partner, and we had the best holiday!! We would recommend this hotel to anybody, families and couples, as the hotel caters for all. We both really loved the all inclusive food, and would even go as far as saying that this is the best all inclusive food we have ever had. It depends obviously on what you like food wise and whether you are a picky eater, but there was always fresh pizza, gyros, Greek salad and decent options available at the pool bar or beach bar during the day, as well as lots of varied options in the evening in the main buffet. There was lots of fresh fish available and healthier options if you wanted, which was a selling point for us. The all inclusive drinks were decent enough - the cocktail list could be better but for an all inclusive it was fine and we enjoyed what we had. Would recommend the iced coffees, iced tea and strawberry slush from the pool bar during the day. Carmelia at the pool bar was brilliant and always friendly! The room and grounds were nice, with a more relaxing pool at the top, next to the activities pool, and then smaller kids pool/slides. There were always beds available, and even some still available at around 9.30-10am. The hotel provides you with towels which was handy. Would also recommend visiting the beach via the free transfer from the hotel. They say it is every half an hour, but it is not.. it’s constant so don’t expect to wait very long if you want a ride down there or back. The driver was a lovely guy who was always friendly and lovely!! The food down here was the best for lunch, as you get fresh gyros. Take water shoes with you, and some goggles if you are going into the sea as it is a shingle beach which gets very hot on the feet, and there were lots of beautiful fish in the sea. Entertainment wise, they have a brilliant animation team who are amazing at what they do and just a lovely bunch of people!! They would come around and speak to us by the pool each day and ask if we wanted to get involved in various activities, but weren’t too pushy at all. They then also put on shows most evenings in the theatre which is by the entrance of the hotel, which were entertaining for kids and adults. There was also a mini disco for the kids, and some live music by the pool bar a couple of evenings a week. I had a lovely full body massage at the spa with Maria, who was amazing!! Would definitely recommend this to unwind as I felt very relaxed afterwards. Would also recommend going into Lindos, which was beautiful. Just very hot so better to go earlier in the day or later in the evening. May be worth hiring a car so that you can get further afield, as you are right at the top of a hill at this hotel with not much around other than a few shops and sports bars at the bottom.

The hotel is clean, the pools are great, the mini bus to the beach works perfectly, the staff is nice, there's a lot to do and the view from family rooms is just beautiful. Overall a very pleasant experience, but the food... We didn't expect much but perhaps still a bit more. It's like school cafeteria with spaghetti, french fries and too warm wine every single night. Of course something else too, but unfortunately the food was by far the worst we've had in a Greek hotel. If you stay at least a week, you can eat once in the "Greek Tavern" by the pool. Be quick to book your table because there isn't enough tables for all! Every other week you'll get meat, every other week fish. We wen't there during the fish week and left hungry, luckily we could continue our dining in the buffet restaurant. The best food we had in this hotel was the beach restaurant. With a small additional charge you get a nice bbq dinner. This is something you should definitely try! As said, despite the food, the hotel is great and I could recommend it to families with kids - if you are adults travelling without kids, perhaps you find a more suitable hotel somewhere else. Just be aware that there's a lot you have to find out yourself (nobody tells you e.g. about the "Greek Tavern" or possibility to eat on the beach bbq buffet) and you should have a qr code reader in your mobile (and carry your mobile with you all the time) because all the menus are behind qr codes.

The massage I had with Maria was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Fantastic. I didn’t want to go to sleep as I was enjoying it so much, but was so relaxing. Had lots of knots in my shoulders and came out feeling like a new woman. I run around after a two year old all day, so this was pure heaven.Thank you Maria
