Kassandra Hotel

I was happy to stay in a budget hotel and expected it to be out dated and didn’t mind as it was just a base. The cleaners came every day which I was impressed by so although the room was shabby I knew it was clean! It was a bigger room than I expected as well as the studio for 2 there was a separate double bedroom. The bathroom floor was constantly wet as the shower curtain wasn’t fit for purpose. You had to pay extra for them to switch the air con on so we didn’t bother. My daughter was keen on using the gym equipment and spa. - There was none available as seen in the photos online. The ‘gym’ room was full of builders tools and rubbish. The sauna, jacuzzi and treatment rooms were closed. The pool side bar in photos looked like it’s not been open for years. We were pleasantly surprised to find 2 pools to use and plenty of sunbeds. The staff could be a bit rude, we asked the receptionist to order us a taxi and she made me pay €5 cash to her and told me to pay driver another €20 to the old town, I’m guessing the €5 was just for her to call taxi firm! Once there we realised that the journey should have cost €15. The food in the taverna was very good, we ate there several times and most of the staff were pleasant. There was one older guy who was very rude though and spoilt it for us. He took down our order wrong and when he brought the wrong food he got really angry! (No such thing as customer always right here!) rather than apologising for his mistake and our inconvenience he was muttering and laughing with his colleagues, making a big deal and when I paid and he asked if it was card or cash and I said card, he rolled his eyes and said “of course you’re paying with card” indicating that I was a problem and they all laughed, it was my last day and I had run out of cash, I didn’t want to bring several Hundred euros in cash!! He then had the cheek to point out where to add the tip. He really spoilt it for us. Entertainment in the evening was either non existent or very poor. Great location, close to the beach and a short walk to lots of bars and restaurants. Very close to airport and old and new towns. Would I gonna k to Rhodes? Yes, would I stay here again? No.

Nice atmosphere. Rooms ok clean and usable. Fine food and service in restaurant. A little boring surroundings. Easy to rent a car. Supermarket closeby.

We stayed at Kassandra for 14 days. Very nice hotel. Clean rooms, clean restaurants, clean swimming pools, and best of all, very nice, helpful and pleasant staff. ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..❤️😊

I've never been so dissappointed. Some of the cleaners stole out stuff (jewellery, perfume etc). One of the old barterners is very grumpy and looks angry all the time (but others are very nice like greek people usually are). Air condition is on extra cost (and placed like sh*t, doesn't even make the room cooler). We love greek food but food in this hotel is...well not like greek food usually is. Do yourself a favor and don't book this hotel, you can't even trust the cleaners. One and only positive thing to say about this hotel is that apartments are big and clean.

Very out dated and rundown rooms, every tap dripping and covered in scale, kitchen cupboards rotten and doors hanging off, bedding stained and towel had holes in them, but the beds were comfy. you cannot see past your knees in the pool either!! The food in the restaurant was very good and the singer was also no too bad. 9 euros a day for the air con which there was only a unit in the bedroom, some rooms only had a unit in the kitchen area, and it didn't work properly. You can hire pool towels for a 10euros deposit. Beach and sea front is about a 10 minute walk away and there is a good supermarket across the road. We drove to the old town and went on a boat trip to Symi- beautiful! Also found a nice hotel in Faliraki with free use of sunbeds and pool right next to the beach and you could see your feet in this pool and the sea!!

It’s what you’d expect from a 3 star I guess. Hard, uncomfortable beds, everything just barely works (fridge on full and barely chilling the contents) and ants all over (in the kitchen). Very thin wall’s meant we also heard the kids next door crying in the night. Very polite and positive cleaning team though.
