Atlantica Mikri Poli Rhodes

Unfortunately I feel a bit let down by this hotel. When we arrived in the room at midnight there were bugs crawling on the floor and when I looked under the beds they were filthy as you will see in the photos (screenshots from the videos I took). I spoke to reception the next day and the room was cleaned and was fine for the rest of the holiday. I wasn't going to write this review but both my daughters have broken out with loads of spots which we think are bed big bites. We don't know this for definite as the lumps appeared a few days after we were back, which can happen with bed bug bites. We didn't think to check the mattress at the time but when I look back at the videos underneath the bed there are suspicious looking black things. On a plus side the restaurant was very clean and the food nice. My girls loved the crepe bar. We never got a sunbed round the main pool as we didn't get up until 9am and all beds had towels on them but we did always get a sunbed at the water park. The shows were good The rooms are tired which didn't come as a surprise as I knew that from the photos when we booked. We were upgraded to a family room but maybe we ended up unlucky with this room. As previously noted I don't know for sure that these lumps on my daughters legs are from the hotel but I wanted to highlight this in case any other travellers experienced this. The cleaning certainly fell short of a 4 star hotel

+ food is very good and there were enough variety for the week + there are plenty of pools you to choose from, so you most likely find your favourite. We think the watwerpark was best. + hotel beach is very nice even though pebbly - the kids food corner at buffet did not have so much variety. Fish fingers for lunch almost every day. + there are not big problems at the hotel, but some little things. Just little things that would make the place from nice to really nice. Like these: - there is no shade at the kids playground. +35 and sun shining all day. Kids can play there only in the evening just before bed time. You should definitely put some shade there. Also we missed som benches for parents to sit while kids were playing. There was only two chairs. - rooms should be updated. They are bit worn out and the air conditioner is really loud. Could not sleep without earplugs. Also it's annoying that it shuts down every single time you open the balcony door. - We asked and paid for later check out (2hr). Still when we came back from lunch, our room card didn't work anymore and we had to contact the reception again. They didn't know anything about what was agreed before. That was not very good service. - beach has sunbeds but you have to pay for them. That's bit weard. We pay a lot for our holiday already so I think it's greedy to make us pay extra for sun beds. - music at the main pool is way too loud. Why you have to damage the hearing of your guests? We could not hang out at that pool at all because I was worried about the kids. You should be aware that loud music can damage hearing permanently. -there are rules at the hotel but seems that no one cares if they are obeyed or not. People carry food out of the restaurant even though it's forbidden. Staff just stands and watches, but doesn't say anything. Just for example.

I spent ages trawling hotels and reviews for our holiday months before booking so feels only right I write a review. We came end of June for a week. With 3 older teenagers 19, 17, 15. From the moment we arrived we had a fabulous time. Check in was quick, efficient and all the staff could not have been more attentive. Always polite and smiley :). We did pay for a taxi from airport so that we arrived quickly - within an hour and half of landing we were checked in and on way to grab lunch/pool! We had booked 2 x inland double (sleeps 3) but gladly were upgraded to 1 bed superior as think my 3 teenagers might have struggled with the standard size room! Room cleaned daily and water bottle replenished. Towels provided both bath and pool. Loved that there were several pools for choice - the main pool was extremely busy and music quite loud. This is where main activities were held. We based ourselves at the top pool as it was quieter and easier to mess about in the pool and we liked to have the bar there. Then moved to slides as and when. My 3 made friends quickly on the slides and the lifeguards were so friendly, got to know my 3 by name. We loved the lifeguard on top of the slides :). Always found a bed at the area around the river/slides - but most of the other pools all beds had gone by 9am - towels on but not one person on the beds or in the pools :( We tried resisting but by mid week we sadly also resorted to putting towels on beds before breakfast otherwise nothing was available around other pools which was a real shame. Food was really lovely - we enjoyed the lunch choice in the downstairs pool bar (burgers, hotdogs, pizza , salads, pasta, grilled meats) but sometimes went to the buffet lunch upstairs. At dinner there was always lots of choice, loved the different themes each night, the grilled meat selection plus the little stall in middle that prepared something related to the theme. Margaritas on mexican night! Sushi on asian night. Staff in restaurant always extremely polite, plates cleared swiftly and even if busy we always found a table. Drinks self serve and served in glasses. We tried the italian one night - again really nice food and lovely staff - but we kept getting told off for self service on drinks - they like to wait on you there :) We found the drinks were great - loved the cocktails, I liked the sparkling wine and hubby got used to the chilled red wine! We certainly made the most of AI, staff even got to know what we liked and a shout out to AJ who served up to my eldest 2 without even asking them! - Beer was cold and refreshing. Slushies nice option. Self serve soft drinks at pool bar and slides area. We liked to go to the beach in the late afternoon, the pool looked nice there but beds had always gone. There is a bar by the beach pool overlooking sea (which becomes the mediterranean a la carte in eve) and also a drinks machine on the actual beach which was an advantage. Water clear and gorgeous to

Everything about this hotel/resort exceeded our expectations..The room was lovely (suite 722). The pools weren't over crowded, the staff were helpful and the food was great. If you have young children I recommend one of the suites close to the private beach. You have a brilliant pool, snack bar and its also close to the main building (just across the road). The evening entertainment was really good especially for young children..The LED comedy magic show was brilliant...I really dont have anything negative to say about the resort at all..The room was cleaned daily and they even left a fresh bottle of water every day free of charge. Id go back tomorrow if I could..If you go to Rhodes visit the old town, its stunning.....Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Great hotel, clean, with lots of different pool's (water park, chill out, activity and so one). Snacks, drink, lot of variety in everything. Amazing 😍😍 animations program oriented to Polish people which is great!!!!! Very very friendly and kind Stuff, thank You!
