Aiora Resort

Didn’t expect to enjoy it this much! The hotel feels fresh and super clean, clearly renovated not long ago. Staff? Just lovely. Always smiling, helpful and relaxed. The bartender was a legend, remembered our drinks and had a great vibe. The animation team was full of energy, 4 guys but looks as they are in ten, we joined water polo, darts, and even tried some dance by the pool. There was a crazy cool acrobat show one night, super entertaining! Food was tasty, enough variety, and the cocktails were strong (yes, please 😄). Definitely a place I’d come back to, with friends or even solo next time.

There are definitely teething problems at this resort. It has the potential to be better but it is a work in progress. There were issues with our room which were eventually resolved, however hot water for showering remained a problem and sometimes we had to be satisfied with cold water. Food was good and the restaurant staff were brilliant as was Christina the hotel receptionist who was a star! The pool area couldn't cater for the amount of people requiring sunbeds which by the way were in need of replacing, they were shabby and damaged and certainly not 4* standard. I think the complex had some plus points but overall is only worthy of a 3* plus rating. Overall we did enjoy our stay but wouldn't return or recommend.

Travelled in July as a couple and booked a swim up room . This hotel is unlike any I have stayed in before in the usual package holiday. Let's start with the positives Pros - swim up room is recommended and thankfully we had it. As on first day we arrived, we went to main pool area and was shocked at how little sun beds or parasols there was around the pool. The sun beds were in the majority, of a poor condition and old wooden ones that were flaking paint and looked like they had been purchased out of a butlins camp from the 60s. People trying to shelter under trees in 35 plus heat, thankfully we didn't have to find a bed. But on the swim up room ,they have a half kind of sun roof which offered shade up until about 1130,then the sun would beat down all day. The swim up room has a double sofa bed type contraption, for sunbathing ,but it was pretty uncomfortable and the back of it was supported by iron bar ,which became red hot in the sun and was of no use as the sofa always collapsed into it . But as the days went on ,in fairness to the hotel ,they seemed to source more parasols and beds for around the pool . Food . The food in the restaurant was always good and had a wide variety of meats,seafood ,salads and desserts. The ice cream selection was pretty good and always busy, although the beer wasn't the greatest lol . Plus they guard the cutlery as if its gold ,I didn't understand the reluctance to pur out extra knives and forks ,I have never seen that before. Staff . The staff were always helpful and greeted you on way into restaurant and rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed, but rhey seemed to have an issue of supplying toilet roll ,I had to go to main reception 3 times to ask for another roll Now onto negatives. Entertainment, we arrived first week in July for a 14 day stay, on the first week ,there was only one show on the Thursday consisting of an acrobatic dancing show. Every other night there was nothing, apart from karaoke and the hotel trying to encourage you down to the flames restaurant with the offer of 40% off cocktails. There is a mini disco every night for the kids ,which ran till about 915 every night ,but as I haven't been involved in mini discos for years since my own kids are way older now ,it became annoying ,listening to the same music and patter night after night. The acrobatic and dancing show appeared again on the Tuesday, again it seemed strange and seemed to be the only adult show there was booked. The pool area at night isn't very appealing , the tiki bar is dark and depressing and on sitting outside you begin to feel the mosquitos surrounding you. The pool bar area is tired and could do with a refurb as well. The gym has run down equipment, but on the last day we used it they had bought a chest press ,weight machine to add to the equipment. You only get kne booking st the flames or greek al a carte restaurant, again this was strange as being there for 14 days you think you would have had 2 ,like

Lovely Resort, but it's the Staff is why I gave it 5* very professional, friendly, and always had a smile. All inclusive. Food was amazing at every meal. Breakfast finishes at 09.30 which is a bit early while on holidays.. we went to beach everyday, not enough sun loungers plus too hot by pool.

Hotel was clean and staff we're extremely helpful. However for a 4 star, the food was average and although we were all inclusive we ate out most nights, Entertainment was shocking. A few bars and restaurants near by.

the hotel has a lot of potential, a few key improvements could really take it from a 3-star experience to a solid 4-star. The hotel grounds are attractive but has a small main pool but unfortunately, there simply aren’t enough sunbeds or umbrellas for the number of guests. The wooden beds are fixed and bulky, and the crochet style umbrellas offer minimal shade and can’t be tilted to protect from the sun, so It becomes a bit of a scramble in the mornings just to get a spot to get shade. The leaflet says there’s a snack bar by the main pool with pizza and other bites, but in reality, there is no snack service available at the main poolside. You can only get alcoholic and soft drinks there, no bottled water, no fountain to refill your own, and no ice creams or lollies for the kids. It’s a missed opportunity, especially in the 40 degree heat and is needed. In the evenings, only one bar is open and unfortunately it doesn’t cater well to the clientele, most of whom were families or couples over 40. It’s quite dark with very loud trance/dance music and all drinks are served in plastic cups. There’s a lovely garden seating area that would be great for evening relaxation, but it’s so far from the bar that it barely gets used. Why not open the pool bar at night too? There’s a splash park next door that guests can access, but it’s unclear whether it’s part of the hotel or just has a usage agreement. Either way, it’s in need of maintenance. The sunbeds there are mismatched and falling apart, and again, guests have to pay extra for basic snacks, ice creams, and drinks. We didn’t try Flames, the restaurant there, so can’t comment. However, the Greek à la carte restaurant at the hotel served a delicious mezze meal and is worth a try, even if it was empty during our visit. Rooms are compact and basic. If you’re a couple staying in a double room, expect things to be a bit tight. Only one English channel on the TV and no Netflix option. Good aircon though and was much needed. The entertainment team really do work hard and deserve credit. They try to engage everyone, but activities like bingo dragged on and could use a little more energy or structure. The beach is a short 5-minute walk and costs €15 for two sunbeds. Again, not the best quality loungers and no adjustable shade, plus you’ll need beach shoes for the pebbles and hot sand. Lardos village is about 5 minutes away by taxi €10 each way (or 15 on foot) and offers a more authentic, relaxed Greek experience with a few local tavernas, restaurants, and a supermarket. Everyone we met there was very friendly and welcoming. The buffet food was decent and varied, but after a week, we found ourselves getting tired of the same routine, taking turns getting food and drinks while someone guarded the table. It’s hard to just sit down and enjoy a family meal together.
