All Senses Ocean Blue Sea Side Resort

Arrived late on a Thursday night and the staff were more than welcome. Jordan especially a really top lad along with his sidekick Daniel. Recommend for people who want a top resort and great family feel for the week. Ham sandwich could be a bit better. Keep doing what you do.

I didn’t have high expansions for this hotel but there few things I didn’t like.Once I found plastic in my salad, which wasn’t that pleasant to find when you are eating.At our hotel room, the first two days there was a horrible smell coming from the bathroom, but it got fixed, but there was another problem.Whenever we showered, the water was leaking all around the bathroom, even tho we asked two times the receptionist to come and fix it. The hotel staff was pretty nice also I really liked the animation team even tho it was pretty small.They were really understanding and they cared about our opinion,Jenny and Mikey(I hope I got their names right :) were really nice and friendly.The beach is near but it’s rocky so you need to wear swimming shoes, the hotel has sun beds near the pool and on the grass where the walk to the beach is 1-2 minutes.The old town is like 10 km from the hotel also the airport is really near so you can hear the planes flying, overall it’s a nice hotel I would give it 3.3 (:

We arrived at the hotel very late, check in was very smooth with reception explaining everything to us and showing us a map and explaining where everything is for the morning. As we had come late, the all inclusive bar had ended (this ends at 11pm), closes completely at 1am, however the bar does stay open after this and you can see the drinks menu on both bars for extra drinks past this time, or not included in the AI. As for others reviews about someone carrying luggage to rooms and expecting a tip we did not experience this! Due to the late arrival we was told even though it was past AI, we could get ourselves a drink at the bar anyway as we had just arrived which was a nice touch! The rooms in my opinion was classy and comfortable! Lamps& plug sockets at both sides of the beds, a set of drawers either side was also handy to have! Spacious wardrobe with about 10 hangers inside, and shelves. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, and a safe ( free of charge) Fridge also with 2 bottles of water in! Tv- not many channels though! We had no issues with the shower leaking thankfully! Spacious rooms with a sofa, also coverts into a sofa bed i believe. With lovely mirrors in the room too (came in handy for holiday photos!!) The room was cleaned for the majority of the time spent there besides one day where no one had come but this wasn’t a big issue for us. It is clear to see the staff do work hard and are always polite when walking past, and there wasn’t anything missing which i’ve had at previous stays in different countries. The pool area is lovely, with the bar being close, two little water slides and plenty of sun beds! No racing at 5am for sunbeds either… even coming down at 9am and still managed to get sunbeds! We didn’t spend much time on the beach, but it is only a few minute walk away (it is a pebbled beach so bring appropriate footwear!) The only thing with the pool is at one side there was a fair amount of bugs in the water, dead wasps and flies etc, we tended to stay towards the other end of the pool instead which was much better. The food, breakfast was not the best unfortunately, not to be a typical english but the bacon and sausages aren’t what we are used to. However, there is omelettes, fried eggs, normal beans, toast etc for hot food. Yoghurts, fruit cereal the usual also. I also saw somewhere just outside the hotel to the left that did full english breakfasts if this is something you rely on. I did enjoy the fact that the restaurant had self serve drinks, so no waiting around for them in the restaurant. Lunch and dinner was both okay, with staple foods on repeat such as chips, meatballs, chicken and burgers and all salads there everyday. However, there was also something nice to eat, always had a plate full so never went hungry at any meal time. Outside of the hotel there is things in walking distance, supermarket is not bad priced at all and can get anything you need! Food places around also, however we did not vent

Here now going home tonight. We arrived around midnight and were given a sandwich as we’d missed dinner, which was a nice touch. However, things quickly went downhill. Despite the hotel knowing we had a baby, pram etc they placed us on the top highest floor. The lift broke down twice with us inside, with the baby in it! which was not only terrifying but completely unacceptable. We refused to return to that room and demanded to be moved to the ground floor as we had originally requested. They did move us in the end, first saying no rooms available then magically one appeared. The next morning, we were told they wanted to move us again! We had to formally complain to stop that from happening. Absolutely not the stress you want on holiday. Food: The food is average at best. Breakfast is poor – slimey cocktail sausages, beans , tasteless eggs, and cheese croissants. Pretty much the same every day. We ended up eating at a lovely place called ideal tavern just one minute up the road that did a proper English breakfast. Lunch and dinner seemed okay for the first two days but became repetitive and poor after that. That said, the staff cleaned tables quickly and efficiently, which I appreciated. Room: As you’ll see in my photos, the rooms are damaged and tired-looking. If you’re put on the top floor, be warned – no balcony! Luckily, once we were moved to a ground floor room, it had its own pool, which was a bonus. Still, the condition of the place is not up to 4-star standards. Cracked stairs broken tiles and drains see pics. Accessibility: This hotel is not pram-friendly, and certainly not suitable for wheelchair users. There are steps everywhere – to the pool, to the restaurant, and even over small bridges between rooms. No ramps in sight. Luckily I had my partner to lift it every time. Positives: The animation team is brilliant. Mikey and Jenny were standouts – they learned our baby’s name within a day and made us feel welcome. The mini disco was fantastic, led also by a lovely young lady with long hair (didn’t catch her name), and there was fun entertainment around the pool each day. They also sell personalised t-shirts (e.g. “Rhodes Summer + your child’s name”), which they hand out in the evenings and make a fuss over – a really nice touch for kids, however they are €20 each! Outside the resort: There are lots of great restaurants nearby – I highly recommend Canton Chinese, just 8 minutes’ walk away. Delicious food. You can also rent a car directly from the resort for just €50 for the day (9am–9pm), which is well worth doing to explore the island. A taxi to Rhodes Old Town costs €23 each way. Planes fly overhead constantly, often until after midnight – at first it didn’t bother me, but it gets annoying with a baby sleeping . Other notes: The hotel is not a true 4-star – it’s more like a 3-star pretending to be 4-star, likely just to charge higher tourist tax, which was €70 per room on arrival. Honestly ignore any bad reviews! Just got back from 7 nights at all senses and could not fault a thing. From the second we arrived to the moment we left, we had a brilliant time and felt very well looked after! Jordan, George, Mikey, Yanis/John, were all so lovely, chatty and friendly and really made our stay special. The rooms are lovely (ours was very clean and a good size), cleaned every day along with fresh towels. Honestly couldn't complain about anything! Great food options too. Close to the airport but also only 20 minutes bus journey to Rhodes town/old town. Can't wait to come back and stay again 😁
