In summary... 4 nights here was not enough to fully experience it... we wanted to stay longer. First night we arrived after 1am due to delays. Reception staff were friendly and provided a map and checked us in nice and quickly. There wasn't much more information about facilities (that was later found in a drawer in the room), but that isn't a major issue as the map was pretty clear, im sure if i actually asked they would have happily assisted. There was a cold buffet on offer just off the reception/restaurant area which was a nice little spread of cold meats and cheese etc. We were given a lift on one of the buggies to our room which was the other side of the complex. This was a nice touch after a long day. We used the buggies a couple of other times during the stay, just called up reception and requested pick up and we didn't have to wait long. The weather was beautiful, with a nice breeze at times. In the heat, that was perfect. The view from the pools by Aphrodite bar was amazing out to sea There's a good mix of pools and locations for all ages. There's play pools for kids, one with water slides as well, a number of other pools too and a handul of hot tubs, which we didn't try. Pools were cold as stated in some reviews, but given the actual out door temperatures, this was a blessing and you became acclimatised quickly in the water. The exotic bar area was nice and peaceful. It is a short walk to the pools down some steps, but it is away from noise. There are fizzy soft drinks and beer at that bar as well as coffee and little cake snacks. The sun beds around the pools went very quickly (which seems to be the case wherever you go now a days), so the only choice on the first day was the exotic bar, but it was what was needed to just chill out. Beds by the lower pools became free throughout the day though, so it is possible to go down there a little bit later in the day. Aphrodite pool bar had a wider selection of drinks and cocktails for by the pools as well as various bar snacks. No music at all really at the pool during the day, maybe at times quietly, apart from when the animation team are doing pool based things like Zumba, but this isn't all day and was entertaining. We only had the buffet food at the restaurant. Really good choice. A bit of everything for everyone. The Tzatziki was really refreshing and seemed very fresh. Evening entertainment was a good laugh. The animation team were brilliant throughout the day and evening. Great for kids and adults alike. Drinks were a good selection for all inclusive. I have read some negative reviews about staff prioritising other guests with different wrist bands. We didn't experience this at all. All of the staff we came across were brilliant and happy to help. The room we stayed in was the superior twin with sea view. The view was amazing. And I would recommend waking up for the sun rise, it was possible to see it from our room but we walked down to by the sea. The private beach area, we

We visited in June. Ok first the good stuff.... Pools are great and plentiful. Room was good with an amazing view. (Pay extra for this...its worth it). Entertainment good and always a choice. Staff in general are great. Now the average... Beach is secluded and private but not to our taste. Food ok. Lots of variety but ok at best. For lunch try the bbq by the mythos pool. That was my favourite which I found purely by accident. Cocktails were ok, but weak. The place is not a hotel but a resort. Its huge, so alot of walking up and down slopes. Its situated a bit out in the sticks, so all-inclusive is a must. The not so good.... Not much tbh. After checking in, (a strange experience), we were told to wait for a buggy to transport us to our room. After 30 minutes, the queue waiting had not shortened so with map in hand, we carried our own luggage and found our room by ourelves as it was 2pm and boiling hot. (Btw no drink offered on arrival). The worst thing was our last night. We visited the Kalthea main bar for the first tiime because the Beatles tribute act was playing. We arrived early with a good table. At this place you can only get a drink from the waiters. After our first drink in sweltering temperatures, we were ignored by the woman who I think was leading the team. The tables around us twice more received refreshments but we were continually ignored despite my conversations with the head waitress. After an hour and a half of no refreshment, and the show only 20 minutes started, we had no choice but to leave. We are a quiet couple in our 50s, so not sure what we did to upset her. But totally unprofessional. If you have a blue wristband (a certain nationality) you are treated like gods. If yellow, not so much. Finally, big shout out to the lifeguard at mythos pool. Giorgos I think. Great guy, works hard all day every day clearing up but always one eye on the pool. Top bloke. Would I come back..... nah.
