We are very disappointed from our threes night stay. Our room was between a kitchen and a bathroom and you can hear every noise from other guests using these. Each night there were guests being very loud, that's not the hosts fault, but in every other Hostel we stayed, there was a hangout that guests should be respectful of the other guests at night. The bathrooms were left full of urine on the toilet seats by leaving guests, we tried to contact the host but were ignored, so we had to clean the filthy bathrooms ourselves. The pictures on the website doesn't allways match the reality, you can't use the garden, the balcony or the winter garden like promoted, cause it's full ot trash. The location is also very distant from the city centre, there is a bus you could take, but it's quite expensive. I would strongly recommend not to stay here, like other people here are saying, better to pay a little more money and have an hopefully more comfortable stay.

I arrived at the hostel very tired and with a bad headache. I was able to sleep very peacefully and restfully in my single room. The most important thing when choosing a place was to be near the Mjódd bus stop, from where my bus was leaving the next day for the south. The Reykjavík Peace Hostel is one of the cheaper hostels, with the difference that you can really relax here after a long day! For me, a huge plus point is the simple check-in, no lengthy process to go through on arrival. I will gladly choose it again!

This was our last stay in the Iceland trip. There were few major issues with this accomodation. Water in the shower smelled sulfur. I'm not sure they used untreated water or something. The shower was not draining well. We did not get WiFi connection details although they mentioned there is free WiFi. Informed them by a message. But they never responded. I booked this trusting the good reviews and the good price. I would recommend put extra dollars choose a different place.

Beautiful place, we stayed in a small room but comfy. In the guest room there are some Chernobyl posters that are a bit disturbing at first. But still the kitchen has all the facilities we needed and the coffee maker is WOW!!! Reccomended. Only downside until midnight we could hear someone scrolling on TikTok and it was a bit annoying.

Do not stay at this place, especially if you are woman travelling alone. Nobody works here, and the back door that leads to the alley is unlocked, You just walk in. The stairs have no railings, The bedroom door was broken and does not lock properly. There are piles and piles ( like 5 ft high) of garbage around the place. The shared toilet was broken, and ran all night so very loud. Buckets on the floor to collect leaking roof water. Not okay.
