Brownstone Colonial Inn

Our 2nd visit was every bit as wonderful as the first time. Our hosts are warm friendly and welcoming. Inside and outside is perfectly maintained. Room are appointed with care for ambiance and comfort. Afternoon homemade snack was delicious. Homemade delicious breakfast with garden fresh ingredients and friendly conversation. Beautiful outdoor water feature on the lush green grounds on a country road.

The accommodations are amazing. The beds were very comfortable and all the rooms are fabulous. The owners are wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. Beautiful country setting. I highly recommend. The history of this old Brownstone is interesting.

Brenda and Mark are a lovely couple who make you feel welcome in their beautiful historic home. This was our second time at the Brownstone Colonial Inn. We enjoyed our breakfasts sitting at their big cozy kitchen table, getting to know the other visitors at the Inn. This is the perfect location for people who love to go antiquing, as there are many nearby markets to choose from.

This place is the greatest. Brenda and Mark make you feel like your family and the room and breakfast were awesome. The Inn is away from the crowds but is within easy driving distance to anything you want to experience in the area. We have already made it our "stay at place" when we are in the Lancaster area.

Our hosts were very gracious and offered some wonderful choices for our evening meals. Unfortunately, we were not able to take advantage of the hearty breakfast offered because we were up and out by 5 AM each day. Brenda left us fruit and muffins in lieu of breakfast. She also made us a very delicious pie to take with us. Their home is beautiful, and we only wish we had more time available to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We hope to go back again in the near future.

We were seeing friends in concert in Lancaster, PA and decided to stay over. Everything in Lancaster was incredibly expensive so we looked for a place beyond there. What we found was this place. Yes, you are in farm country, but it is worth it. It is a beautiful old house that has been renovated and restored with a touch of modern. We were in ‘Grandpa’s Room’; very comfortable bed with a fabulous shower. You can also sit outside by a babbling pool and listen to bullfrogs while watching the fish. Brenda, our hostess, was very friendly and a great cook. Her breakfasts were always different and scrumptious. I would most definitely like to return here. Highly recommended.
