Hotel New Island Star A/C

3 rooms booked, 2 through makemytrip and 1 through goibibo for our trip to Ramedwaram from 13.08.2022 to 14 08.2022. When we reached at the hotel they provided only one room and claimed that they heve not received any communication from makemytrip. We, the family members including ladies and majority are senior citizens, had a very difficult situation and were under mental trauma. Hence if anybody booking through makemytrip please ensure the availability of room prior to start your trip otherwise you will be in a problem The rooms were so dirty and ugly especially the bathroom and toilet. AC was not working, the bedsheets and bedspreads were very dirty. While booking, we paid ₹1486/- in advance for a deluxe double room booked thr. Goibibo. Later from there we found that the actual rate of the room allotted to us was ₹600/- to ₹800/- only. My very sincere advice to all, whoever plans to visit Rameswaram, please do not stay in the Hotel New Island Star and book through a more reliable firm.
