After a disappointing stay at a "luxury resort", we were prepared for the worst in this "no name" property which we chose in close proximity to the train station for an overnight stay to catch an early morning express. To our most pleasant surprise, the experience was very good. A great entry foyer and arrival lounge, very polite and courteous young lady (she said she was from Bengal) with a great sense of humor, at the reception (pity, I didn't take her name). Basic, but well-appointed room. Good wi-fi. Wish the bed linen was newer and better. Couldn't stay for breakfast. A question (which nobody could answer): Rather unusual for a city like Raipur in the huge heartland of India, to have a hotel chain (I believe there are three properties of the same name) called "Babylon". Any link to Mesopotamia? Would appreciate a response.
