Nilaya Nest Away

Our one-night stay at Nilaya Resort, Alibag, was extremely disappointing and far from the relaxing getaway we had hoped for. I would strongly advise against booking this property if you're looking for a peaceful, clean, and well-managed stay. Firstly, the overall maintenance of the resort is shockingly poor. The room we were given was unclean, the bathroom had visible stains, the tap was not functioning properly, and the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. For a place that claims to be a resort, even the most basic standards of hygiene and comfort were not met. Secondly, the staff was indifferent and unhelpful. When we raised our concerns, rather than addressing them politely or trying to resolve the issues, we were met with unfriendly looks and dismissive responses. It’s clear that the management has not invested in staff training, especially in hospitality and guest relations. To make matters worse, the food served was well below average in both taste and quality. It was bland, unappetizing, and certainly not worth the price charged. All in all, this resort was a complete letdown. The experience left us with regret and frustration, and we checked out feeling that our money and time were wasted. There are far better options in Alibag — skip Nilaya Resort if you want a stay that is actually worth your time and money.

People may find many attractive reels on YouTube about this Hotel Nilaya Nest Away. But never fall for it. Check my detailed review below. This is based on my own true experience on staying here which led for early checkout. 1. This hotel is located nearly 400 m inside a narrow galli named as Chintamani galli. This access road is in very bad condition, full of small stones, potholes, etc. You have to drive in 1st gear only. You must reverse your car if other car suddenly comes from the front. High chances of damaging your car. In case of rain, a lot of water accumulates there, so walking is hectic as well especially in night it's fully dark with hardly any lights on this road. 2. You may find all the common amenities for the kids and young guns here as shown in YouTube videos, but believe me all the amenities are in bad condition. 3. Housekeeping from the pool area to the common lobby, staircases, etc. is very poor. They don't clean the slippery, watery floors regularly after someone has walked out from the swimming pool to their rooms using the stairs. Also the staff never tells this to the guests using the swimming pool to dry out themselves properly before walking out. So others may slip, fall down and get injured. 4. There are no lifts in this hotel. 5. Rooms are bigger, have kitchen platform also. But what's the use of a kitchen platform in the room in place like Alibaug. Tourists rarely stays in the rooms because everyone likes to explore the Alibaug and eats in hotel or outside restaurants. 6. Bed linens are of poor quality. Poor houskeeping, Insects around. 7. Bathroom fittings, accessories are in very bad condition. 8. Never use the tap water for gargle or taste it, it's very bad. May be they don't have any water purification plant or it's not maintained well. 9. Food is of average quality. 10. They have open parkings for 5-6 cars inside their premises. Few of them are located under the coconut trees from the adjacent compound. Instead of putting a roof over this area, this hotel has displayed a caution notice that the hotel is not responsible for any damage to the car if any coconut falls from the trees.11. Ratings are hyped for no reasons. Pricing is for sure high for this average below the par kind of hotel. For me the pricing in this hotel for the room only to be around 1000-1500 only. You may not find all these observations on any hotel booking website earlier and also at the time of direct hotel booking, the staff will never tell the truth and will misguide only. I may rate this hotel 0/5 or 1/5 (1 for some of the courteous staff). Even if the hotel improve upon all above observations, the access road will stay as it is. So a "Big No" for this hotel or any other hotel located in Chintamani galli in Nagaon, Alibaug. Better spend more money and stay in quality hotels rather than staying in such average 1-star/2-star hotels.

I wanted to take a moment to provide feedback regarding some ongoing issues I have been experiencing during my stay. 1. **Power Supply Issues**: In late night, there is no dedicate support from staff to start generator during power cut issue. 2. **Television Not Working**: The TV in my room has also not been operational, further contributing to the discomfort of my stay. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter as soon as possible. 3. **Road Conditions**: The road leading to the property is in poor condition, making access challenging. It seems quite far from the main road, and better maintenance of this access point would be beneficial for all guests. 4. **Beach Proximity**: While the location is advertised as being close to the beach, it is approximately 1.2 km away. This could be misleading for guests who are seeking a more immediate beach experience. 5. **Staff Proactivity**: Finally, I believe that the staff could be more proactive in addressing these issues. A more attentive approach would enhance the overall guest experience significantly. 6. Food Quality : Need to improve non veg quality food mainly Lunch & Dinner etc. Also, requested to add light food like idli & mendu wada in morning breakfast items. We had a very good stay at Nilaya. The staff was very polite and helpful. Swimming Pool was neat and clean and food was too tasty. I would love to visit again for peaceful stay.

The stay was good. the best part was the number of games that are available to play for kids. Kids enjoyed playing in pool with pool balls (not many resorts keep small balls for kids to enjoy in water). Food quality was medium. only cons for the resort was the approach road was very narrow (one car width of road) and without much street lights. another good part was having a refrigerator and small kitchen area inside room.
