Hampton Inn Quincy

I am a hhonors club member. I had spaced on registering as such. I am usually quite pleased with Hilton properties. Perhaps I am used to staying in their Club level rooms? We had a pet with us. The pet fee was $50. Twice what we paid at a different chain the nite before. The room had a strong smell of whatever cleaning agent they used. Our pet sleeps in a portable kennel. I assume they needed to clean the room for some issue. The plumbing fixtures were loose in the shower and the tub did not drain at a rate fast enough to keep up with the water from shower. They need to flip their mattresses in the room. The elevator door closes very quickly and hit my wife as she was entering. Quick so ok once you know what to expect. The hardest part of the stay was the fire alarm in the wee hours that startled us awake. The good side is it is amazingly effective for waking you up. Bad side is it is difficult to sleep when your heart is racing. It was a false alarm caused by an automatic environment monitor. I assume it has been rectified. This stay just wasn’t up to the standards I would expect from Hilton or Hampton. I have stayed with their brands many times and see this asa one off bad experience. I would stay there again as the other things I saw made me think what we were experiencing was unusual. The staff were great ,friendly ,pleasant,helpful even in the middle of the night. The morning coffee and breakfast area was well done. The grounds.lobby and parking were very good.

I have never given a poor review of any hotel. This one is old, dirty, needs new beds, had no WiFi, noisy, we could hear people talking outside, and had to wait forever for the water to get hot in the morning. This place is extremely over priced.

Well the ADA room we were supposed to have was unavailable , however the lady who checked us in, I believe her name was Ava, was excellent at explaining everything, and was excellent in greeting us and checking us in. She should be complimented and recognized for her customer service skills.

Very nice hotel the staff was very nice and helpful!!! Clean room and comfortable will stay again.

Overnight stay was nice. The only thing wrong was the window blinds in the room were push button and the motor was going out. Every else was good. Thecroom was spacious and clean. The free hot breakfast was also nice.

I needed an overnight stay that would be close to Tallahassee. We stayed one night. Check in was easy and the clerk was professional and cordial. It is right off of 10 and there was nothing around it. I had to drive into the town Quincy which seemed unsafe. Very few places to eat other than McDonald’s and sonic. The hotel was clean as was the room . The bathroom ceiling had water damage. The furniture was dated. Normally I don’t complain about these things but I’ve stayed at Hampton inn and know the quality they are capable of. This is why I paid more. The breakfast was good and checkout was easy.

Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast was typical. The lobby did smell a bit musty on first entry, but only noticed that one night. The front desk was not staffed the two times we wanted something, but they did return our call promptly - I assume they are having staffing issues just like everywhere.

This hotel is in major need of an update. Broken a/c and a room that smelled horribly of dogs. Outdated carpet and decor. Just a newer hotel that seems poorly cared for.

Super relaxed and convenient. Affordable and pet welcoming. True southern hospitality at check in. That’s extremely rare these days and very appreciated.
