Hotel Villabosque Eco Boutique

The hotel is very well located at Manuel Antonio, 50mts from the main engtrance in the park as maximum, and has good infrastructure; spacious and well decorated rooms, very kind staff and always available to help, but unfortunately the breakfast is very bad. The quality of the products is low, for example bread, bottled orange juice, so it would be worth investing in a kitchen professional. It would also make things easier if instead of having fixed menus, it could be a buffet, where everyone could choose what they like. In bedrooms, mattresses should be rotated/turned regularly to avoid creating holes in the same place

This hotel is a great place for families, couples, and solo travelers. The accommodation options range from large to small- and they even have an affordable rooms for drivers and tour guides. I came in late one evening after having car troubles as a single traveling student and the receptionist Maria went above and beyond to help me get affordable and comfortable accommodation at the hotel. Maria is incredible, and a great asset to their Customer Service team. The hotel also has a beautiful pool area and offers free breakfast from 7-11 (with vegan and gluten free options). I highly recommend this place for anyone coming to visit the park and enjoy the natural beauty of Manuel Antonio. It’s far enough away from the crazy tourism- without being so over-the-top and fancy that you miss out on the natural beauty you came for.

We had 2 nights here as part of a group tour and really enjoyed it. The hotel is a beautiful colonial style, with a small pool, and good value happy hour in the lovely outdoor bar area. The bedrooms are quite small but very nice with good ac and nice bathrooms. It is a perfect location within a few short minutes walk to the national park entrance. As it is not on the main strip/beach area, it is quieter which we appreciated, but still only 5 mins walk to the main area for other bars and restaurants or sunset from the beach.

Wendy and María were incredibly helpful whenever I had questions. Marcela and the housekeeping staff kept my room in great shape and left fun towel animals for me. I don’t know the names of other staff, but someone was always available to help me when I had an issue with my room key or luggage. The location is amazing, it is walking distance to Playa Espadilla Norte and Manuel Antonio National Park. Most of the tour groups pick up from here for daily tours, it is walking distance from the Super Joseth supermercado, and a short cab or Uber ride to Manuel Antonio for more restaurant options. Overall, a great place to stay!

Bartender ripped me off. Scamming people you don’t think understand what you are saying is pretty low. Menu is in USD so why would you add 0’S to the amount and charge colones? Doesn’t work like that. They were also observed microwaving the food for my tour group. I question anyone that says the food at this place is good lol

Lovely, quiet hotel walking distance to public beach and national park. Nice but not fancy. Super clean, comfortable, air conditioned rooms, airy outdoor spaces, small but nice pool perfect for cooling off. Monkeys on the roof, lots of birds around. Front desk staff are some of the most friendly and helpful people I have ever encountered at a hotel. Hotel Villabosque has everything you need and nothing you don't--it's a great spot for experiencing Manuel Antonio.
