The hotel room is quite old. Light switches do not function well. Wifi is weak. The phone in the room doesn't work. The refrigerator does not work. The air conditioner works well. Breakfast is good. Receptionists are nice and helpful.

Very good location in the ancient city. The structure of the hotel is very nice too.

It was such an unique experience to stay in a hotel inside the ancient city wall, it felt like travelled back to China in the olden days. As it was off-peak season when we visited 山海关，we were upgraded to a family room, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. As it was rather cold and we were tired from all the walking, we decided to make life easy by eating at the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't expect much though. But..., we were much much more than surprise the dishes were Ace standard, be it in presentation or taste! A big big thumb up! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times. P.S the teapot was not filled with tea but a yummilicious 松茸汤。

Upsides: charming low-rise hotel; convenient location in the old town, friendly and helpful staff (though limited English), generous buffet breakfast Downsides: a raucous and chain-smoking (but amicable) group of other guests. A leaking washbasin (fixed promptly). No bar. Would stay happily again.

Excellent location near the west gate of the walled town . Walking distance to all corners of the old town. The hotel is built in ancient Chinese style and is a popular photo spot for tourists. The room is not well soundproofed but, fortunate for us, noises were minimal during sleep hours. Shower and air-conditioning (heating) could be improved.

This is a very well-appointed and comfortable hotel located within the old town walls of Shanhaiguan, 50 yards or so from the east gate. It is built and decorated in the traditional style of the area. Large, comfortable beds, the a/c unit warms the room. A filling and varied breakfast is delivered to the room in the morning. The staff are cheerful and pleasant. The hotel boasts a restaurant in a separate building which serves a wide selection of delicious food. Private dining rooms are available. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would be very happy to return.

I had a very good stay. The first room they gave me, there was mold in the bathroom. It was quickly resolved as they upgraded my room. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Location is amazing, right in the centre of the old town. Will definitely be returning!

good environment

第一次來到美麗的古城山海關，酒店環境非常幽靜。客房設備有些陳舊，但是非常乾淨，服務員熱情周到，距離天下第一關步行衹需要6分鐘，這個季節古城的人流量不大，估計暑期這個酒店會爆滿吧

酒店就在西城門裡麪不遠，門面氣派很好找。酒店範圍較大，設施齊全，自帶停車場。員工訓練有素，會主動和客人問好並帶客人去房間。早餐品種不多但乾淨衞生，並且都能及時加熱保温，這在寒冷的冬季非常重要。房間不大但很温馨，服務員會主動將暖氣片拿到房間並送上小點心。唯一不足的是衞生間沒有乾濕分離，洗澡水會四處漫流，總體來説還是非常值得推薦。

古風，在景區裏特別有氛圍感，就是時間不充裕，都沒吃到晚餐很遺憾，很多評價都説晚餐好吃，吃了早餐就更覺得沒吃到晚餐好遺憾了 早餐都好好吃！ 服務態度很好啊，還主動聯繫我落下的東西，幫我快遞 下次還會再來

開車回老家路過山海關，臨時決定落腳山海關，從網上看了好多家賓館，最後選擇山海假日酒店，在古城裡麪離天下第一關步行800米，正好趕上了年博會還挺熱鬧，也趕上了紛飛大雪，雪中的古城別有一番景色，太美了，辦理入住過程中前台人員服務特別好，還主動給拿了兩瓶熱的水，在酒店吃到了山海關特色葷鍋，雪天吃葷鍋給人從裡到外的温暖

국영호텔답게 너무 꼼꼼한 체크인ᆢ낡았지만 한국의 북촌같은 느낌을 원한다면 머물만한곳. 산해관 가깝고 노롱두도 15분정도? 겨울에는 주변 음식점이 문을 닫아 응식 문제 해결이 조금 어려움. 편의점이 있어서 그나마 해결 밤에는 전등불로 인해 멋짐. 조식은 배달시켜줌ㅡ봉지에 만두 4알, 조쌀죽, 구운달걀한개,짠무반찬 ㅋㅋ(이런 조식 처음임) 비수기라 식당운영하기보다는 타식댕에서 배달시켜주는걸 선택한듯ᆢ 그럭저럭 만족 친절 직원 ^^
