The hotel is perfectly situated. I walked across the street to the beach, was able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. The breakfast and dinner buffet were out of this world with so many choices of delicious foods. I will definitely return to the hotel in the future.

I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel again. I stayed here for the first time a year ago in June for Dragon Boat Festival and it was fantastic. So I decided to stay here for May 1st holidays. Unfortunately that turned out to be a huge mistake. During the day in Qingdao during this time the weather is good between 22-25 degrees Celsius but still cold at night between 13-15 degrees. For me the heat needs to be on but to my horror there was no heat, only cold air. So I ended up getting sick. On top of that it didn't matter if it was breakfast or dinner, the buffet food was cold. The only hot food was something made in front of you like an omlet. Even before I found out all this, when I got to my room it wasn't what I paid for. I paid for the multi-level suite. I still had a suite but I have no idea if the cost was at least the same and I didn't care for it. The bed was great though but even with another blanket on top didn't keep me warm enough with no heat at night. 😓

The hotel is close to the sea, there are shops with normal prices for food, there are cafes and restaurants nearby, the staff are friendly and helpful

Good location from Metro. Make sure to confirm with hotel about a non-smoking room. There are limited non-smoking rooms.

Old shabby hotel catering to visiting local tourists, mainly. If you're a foreigner, the drivers of the cabs waiting outside the Hotel will rip you off 20-30 yuan unless you pay attention to the meter and immediately yell at them in case of overcharge. (Almost) noone at the check-in desk speaks English unless you chance on a manager. There're two teenage consierge boys at the main entrance, who boss the incoming patrons around and tell them how to live. The restaurant prices are on a par with those at Shangri-La hotel, but with far fewer choices and lower in cooking quality. The only BIG advantage if you're a swimmer like myself: a former German "Kaiser" swimming beach is right accross the road. It's now callled "Bathing Beach 1." Awesome for doing non-stop laps for an hour. And even then: you can easily get to the beach by metro from any other Qingdao hotel. Just get off at Huiquan Square (Line 3) and come out through Exit C.

Unique selling points: location and rotating restaurant with great views

The location is close to the beach and I had a nice view, it's ten minutes by taxi to the city, the downtown, Good foods and good bars.

Good service, fast check-in and check-out. The room is clean and the furniture is good. The hotel is quite old, but still comfortable. The view is amazing of the beach and it's just 7 min by car from the QingDao Railway Station. Every touristic thing is like 10 min away by taxi too.

Facility maintenance was not good. But still the location is super convenient to whose priority is enjoying the beach. Strongly recommend to book non smoking floor if you are not smoker, but not sure whether could book it by Ctrip booking choices.

Nice hotel with a stunning 360degrees spinning restaurant on the 25th floor, we had breakfast there and it's perfect. The rooms are quite small, but comfy, there's some smell in the room (sth like old furniture smell), but the rest is fine. Some nice view coffee shops nearby, the Badaguan area is 10min slow walk from the hotel, location is really good.
