Thurrock West

Location pretty grim as it’s next to the Dartford Bridge and Tunnel. But once you are in you can forget about that as the rooms are decent and spacious, the restaurant is excellent for an evening meal and the breakfast is good value particularly if you go for the meal deal for dinner and breakfast. A good stay overall.

Zivile who is normally on the evening meal shift; She is always quick and happy to help, she always gets your meal requests right. She has not once showed any bad/moody body language. Chiloe who is normally on the breakfast meal shift; She is always super happy and smiling. She goes above and beyond to help you. I have stopped in about 8 different Premier Inns, no doubt I will stop at more because of work. But West Thurrock, I spend more time there than in my own home. Zivile and Chiloe stand out with their excellent service. I would like to see them praised for their excellent service.

It is very disappointing to have been given a family room which smelled badly of tobacco and dampness. It is never good to have children sleep in such room

Comfy room, clean, comfy bed. Customer service could have been better. Mixed fruit at breakfast not great. Staff at this Premier Inn need to review their fire safety procedures ASAP due to fire alarm going off and no real direction from staff during or after.

I stayed here with my daughter after a day of shopping at lakeside for her 7th birthday, it was a short drive away which was perfect, we got greeted on arrival on the Saturday by a lovely welcoming lady on reception, she was chatting to my daughter asking her name and how old she was, then shortly after, her and another member of staff knocked and sang happy birthday, they bought her a balloon, cake, pressy and a card, it was so thoughtful and kind and made my daughters birthday so special, she hasn’t stopped talking about her stay so thank you so much. Breakfast was also really nice the next morning. Emmy wants to come back again for her birthday next year so we will be back. Thank you again. Kerry and Emmy Buck

Very poor hotel,7 pounds just to park car for one night,very hot uncomfortable room,will never stay here again much prefer Rainham.

We usually stay at Premier Inn’s whilst stay away and they are usually good. We booked this one on route to Ashford We checked in with the receptionist who gave us our room key. She then told us the restaurant was closed tonight but you can still book breakfast in the morning! We’d been travelling most of the day and was looking forward to a quick meal in the hotel. I asked if there was anywhere we could eat nearby. Receptionist said we could go to Lakeside and that the restaurants would be open on a Sunday evening. We then saw a notice stating that the restaurant was closed due to technical reason for the majority of August (not just that one night. We couldn’t be bothered to get back in the car and start driving again so we settled for crisps and peanuts in the bar. I know that technical problems do happen and can’t be helped. I just don’t understand why, amongst the many emails that were sent, they could not have put a note in saying their restaurant was closed. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and had good staff but should have just let customers know they can’t eat! To add further insult to injury, whilst we were in the bar, a man thanked the receptionist for recommending a nearby fish shop!

Decent hotel, value of money and it’s very clean with good service. Breakfast was delicious. Very large capacity for parking your car.

Paid car park is a joke. A/C had to be turned on every 15min. Stuff hardly available when we wanted lacking towels set. Drunk guests at the car park woke us up at 3am and was hard to sleep as it was hot and A/C was turning off itself after achieving apparently 19*C which felt more like 25 so we had to constantly turn it on.
