Hotel del Lago Golf & Art Resort

The the time we booked our stay we asked that we have adjoining rooms as we were coming with our teenage sons, I also asked about the use of the tennis courts all of which we were told we could have and use. Upon arrival we were split up to two different floors and pretty far from each other. Due to a tennis tournament that was going on and being fully booked there was nothing that could be done. Both of our rooms were facing the back of the hotel and yet there were children who were in the tennis tournament who had spectacular views of the lagoon and were very much cleaner, and slightly more updated than ours and our boys room. Our rooms were simply just outdated, but the cleanliness in the boys room was OK. However, when my husband and I walked into our room, there was a very distinct old bleach, pungent smell. Fortunately I always carry sanitizer with lemon oil that managed to disguise this fowl smell and 2 days in it was gone. There was a leftover residual left in the bidet from a previous guest, the hot water took half an hour to actually warm up, the water pressure for the cold water was a joke, with taps leaking, the toilet constantly flowing and wasting water, the shower grate that was detached, the vent that was also detached and so dirty, the refrigerator in the room was full of ice, mold inside the cabinet, a safe that was half the size of our boys, peeling paint in the ceiling and towels that had holes in them from being so old. I actually had the first hot shower on day 6 of our stay as we left the water running for so long. The rooms were paper thin and we could hear our neighbors full conversations which woke us 2 mornings in a row. None of this gave any sort of vibe to a five star resort. And quite frankly, I would barely give it two stars. The only saving grace was the comfort of the bed and pillows. The indoor pool and hot tub were dirty and old and the hot tub was exposed to the filter and no controls working. The outdoor pool was impressive to look at however the pool cleaning was half hearted and the tubes to clean the pool were left there unattended for hours. From negatives to a positive. The breakfast buffet was substantial, and the staff worked their hardest to make sure that if something had run out, they would replace it quickly. I guess it’s very hard to keep up when you have so many young guests wanting to eat at the same time. For the most part the staff were very friendly, except for the member of staff from the gym, I believe she is the activities staff member. The reception staff and dining staff were all as helpful as they could be and very polite.

Quarto bem espaço com vista para o lago ( ponto negativo: 15-20 km do centro de Punta Del Este) Bom café da manhã !!! O quarto é extremamente espaçoso com lindas varandas para o lago, entretanto esta bem antigo e necessitando de reforma. No geral o hotel apesar de bem conservado parece que ficou parado na década de 90. O café da manhã é bastante bom com boas opções Há varias opções de lazer como golf, esportes nauticos ( o lago é bem frio mesmo no verão), bikes, piscina aquecida e spa. Ponto bem negativo é que ele é bem longe de Punta Del Este. Um uber esta custando em média 40 dolares por trecho, então se não estiver de carro, pense bem !!

Muy lindo hotel, con actividades para realizar al aire libre en familia. La vista desde la habitación, la limpieza, la amabilidad del personal y la comida del Restaurante son los puntos fuertes. El area para niños pequeños está muy bien. Requiere mantenimiento en el area de juegos para más grandes, varios juegos estaban fuera de servicio. La piscina cerrada es pequeña, se disfruta bien si no hay muchos huéspedes. Fuimos en otoño y deseamos volver en verano para disfrutar la hermosa pisicna exterior!

El hotel es hermoso, instalaciones de primera, ideal para ir en familia o escapada romántica. El restaurante tiene precios razonables y la comida es muy rica. Desayuno delicioso. Internet muy rápido y con buena señal en las habitaciones. La habitación super amplia con algunos detalles a mejorar, pero nada importante. El personal es super atento. Entorno super tranquilo, ideal para pasear.

Paguei por um quarto com duas camas de casal, uma para eu e meu marido e outra para meus dois filhos. Cheguei no hotel e simplesmente não havia quarto com duas camas de casal. Depois de algum tempo, com a boa vontade da funcionária Solidad, ela nos deu um upgrade e fomos para um apartamento grande e confortável, porém com o mesmo problema, não haviam duas camas de casal, apenas uma! Colocaram duas camas de solteiro avulsas, improvidadas, de montar, super desconfortáveis. Nos colocaram num quarto maior para teoricamente nos sentirmos tendo um upgrade, porém faltou muito o conforto dos meus filhos. Café da manhã mal servido, bagunçado. Hotel antigo, acomodações velhas, troca de toalhas e artigos de banho sempre insuficientes. Deixou muito a desejar. Único ponto positivo a funcionária Solidad que fez de tudo que poderia para ajudar. Porém o hotel passa longe de ser um resort recomendável.

excelente atención personal, exquisito desayuno, linda ubicación, lago espectacular disposición para transporte. Buenas habitaciones y vista. Disposición del personal en general, limpieza, cuidado, áreas verdes y actividades incluidas muy atractivas
