Great location and helpful staff. The breakfast each morning was a good start to the day.

We stayed here on our trip to Antarctica as it was the hotel suggested by our tour company, Quark Expeditions. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the view over the harbour was wonderful. Our check-in was smooth and our room was ready when promised. The breakfast was included and had a good selection of meats, cheeses, fruit, eggs, bread and yogurt. There was another cafe type restaurant with good lunch type food. We did not visit the ****** but, as we were on an upper floor we did not encounter any noise from the ******. The staff were friendly and helpful and offered some good suggestions for where to eat in town and what to do. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Visited the hotel prior to an Antarctic adventure. This is a large hotel with a ******. Our room was large and pleasant. Hotel is centrally located within easy walking to the town centre. Our meals were in the banquet hall with other passengers on the upcoming cruise. The food was average. Breakfast was served in a nice room and was much better than our "banquet" dinners.

This is one of the few large hotels in Punta Arenas, so caters to large cruise/tour groups. The rooms are spacious. The staff generally helpful. Unfortunately, the captive market means rather average facilities. The breakfast buffet is adequate, but quite modest for a large hotel. Meals for tour groups in the conference area were repetitive. There is no air conditioning, so rooms get very hot in the summer and one needs to open the window — the street below can be noisy. The shower floods the bathroom due to poor drainage. Spotty and slow Wi-Fi.

We stayed at the Dream Hotel in between our trip to Antarctica. It was a lovely hotel, with comfortable beds, a huge bathroom and an amazing view of the Straight of Magellan! The restaurant was wonderful with very large Portions and they had a fantastic coffee cafe in the lobby that we frequented twice a day.

Arrived after long trip in Antarctica. Put on the 10th floor and within 1/2 hour of checking in there was EXTREME noise from the 11th floor - construction! Thought the roof was going to fall in. Got management involved and was told the policy was 'no construction to take place when guests are occupying the 10th floor'!!!! Did this manager really say that to me as we stood on the 10th floor and could barely hear each speak?!?!?!!? He then told me he would tell the construction team to stop. They didn't as they started back up after about 20 minutes. He told me he told them to stop again....they didn't. I also told him my room water was warm at best, could not take a shower. He had maintenance look at it. He told me it would be fixed in an hour. I asked for another room given the water and the noise. We jointly evaluated the other room which was on floor 8. No noise which was positive. Water temperature was the same. He told me he would be ok taking a shower in that. I chose not to debate the acceptable water temperature with him as he obviously did not see me as the customer. No sense of customer service. Neither issue fixed. Noise continued - was then told the construction team would finish within the hour. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!

No AC and room was stifling hot 28 degree and window would not open. Bell boy had to lodge a coat hanger to have it open an inch. We stayed in room 1011 which was west facing towards sun and town. For the price we expected ALOT better. Night before we stayed at Alsumur which was not as fancy but way cheaper room was cooler.

Location and Views are good. Main issue is that the rooms especially facing Northwest get very hot (something wrong with the glass they have on windows, their maintenance guy explained). Sun causes greenhouse type effect. Outside was 10 degrees C, inside room got up to 29 degrees C at one point (Room 1101). AC system in room was non-functional. We called housekeeping, they put two pedestal fans in the room. Was very difficult to sleep as it got down only to 25 degrees C at night in the room. Lobby and restaurant had good AC and were cool. Hotel is way overpriced for the amenities. Would recommend staying in Aparthotel 2 blocks away. Smaller very cute place with better amenities and less than half the price. Internet is free but slow. Breakfast is included in stay and decent. Areas around the hotel are nice. We stayed in Dreams only because the stay was part of our Tour to Antartica. I would avoid the place if you want to sleep at night in a room that is cooler than a sauna.

Stayed here before a trip with Quark. No air conditioning and the breakfast buffet is underwhelming. Find other places to eat lunch and dinner, there are many nearby. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.
