Hotel Tioga

This is a follow-up on a previous review, to let folks know, that after our third visit to Hotel Tioga ( we are American residents who had Costa Rica business to be taken care of in Puntarenas) ..... The hotel's staff, services, and accommodations are consistently wonderful! If by choice or necessity, the Hotel Tioga is a magnificent example of the "old world" grandeur of Puntarenas specifically, and of Costa Rica in general. I've seen criticism that the hotel is in need of renovation. But I have to say it is in great shape for its age, and far surpasses the U. S. hotels half its age. Where others may want the sterile, predictable formula of a Holiday Inn, we celebrate the rich experience of this wonderful architecture, the exceptional services, and again the .... wonderful hospitality, yet high professionalism of the entire staff! The hotel is not without exceptional accommodations, .. a very clean and refeshing indoor pool, a authentic and absolutely fantastic Chinese restaurant, a penthouse room with a spectacular view of both sunrises and sunsets, and a history that is very very interesting! The hotel is visited by mostly native Costa Ricans, but for travelers, either by unexpected circumstances or travel logistics will find the Hotel Tioga athe perfect pause between the Airport and Ferry. They provide an example of what a fine hotel is, and the best in friendly people ready to help travelers with the smallest to largest of assistance in their travels!

Este fin de semana tuvimos el enorme placer de visitar el hotel Tioga después de muchos años y escribo este Review con una gran sonrisa. Desde que llamas a la recepción te atienden con cordialidad y amabilidad, te dan toda la información que necesitas para poder hospedarte y te dan los precios por noche bastante cómodos por cierto. Llega el día del hospedaje, te reciben con una gran sonrisa, te ayudan con el equipaje hasta tu habitación y te reciben con agua fría con hielo en la habitación algo que no había visto antes en ningún otro hotel y podes pedir agua fría en todo momento. La habitación standard es muy cómoda, cuenta con un sillón, mesa, camas cómodas, aire acondicionado y pantalla todo impecable, me gustaría también hablar del baño; el baño es impecable por donde lo veas, no tiene una sola mancha de sarro, no tiene manchas de moho o humedad, estaba impecable, la ducha era nueva y sale una agradable cantidad de agua tibia, sin malos olores, sin bichos, sin plagas, todo impecable , tiene un closet con mucho espacio para maletas, para ropa y una buena cantidad de ganchos, también el closet cuenta con su propia luz. Es un hotel 100% familiar tiene una piscina muy hermosa muy refrescante, muy limpia se nota se fue totalmente remodelada y quedó muy bonita. El hotel cuenta con restaurante el desayuno es muy rico y dan bebida ilimitada en la hora del desayuno y el restaurante asiático que tienen es delicioso. Ahora pasemos a lo que para mi es lo más importante (el servicio al cliente); el servicio al cliente del Hotel Tioga es un 10 de 10 todo el personal incluidos los dueños se esmeran por darte un servicio excepcional, todos te hacen sentir en casa, te hacen sentir no como un huésped más sino como un huésped importante y especial. El servicio al cliente hotelero del Hotel Tioga es de 5 estrellas y eso para mi es más y vale más que los años que pueda tener un edificio. Vamos a volver sin duda alguna y este va a ser nuestro hotel de confianza en Puntarenas. Lo recomiendo a ojos cerrados a todos los que están leyendo este humilde comentario.
