We had the best 1 night stay on Uro Aruma. From the very start, Juan and his family couldn't have been more accomodating. Juan collected us at 6 straight after a night bus and let us get an early check in as well as giving us free breakfast that morning. We spent most of our time relaxing looking at the lake and Juan gave us our space, but we knew if we needed anything he was happy to help. Dinner was very nice and an excellent amount to keep us full till the morning. When we were leaving we got a free tour around the lake by Leonardo and he told us about the different amenities on the different Islands. Really enjoyed our time here! Would highly recommend for a nice peaceful day on a floating island

Don't get me wrong, the people running the island were great hosts and very pleasant. However, they charged WAY more to transport us from the port to the island than if we'd taken a collectivo. Then they double booked our room, so instead of three beds with an ensuite that included a shower, we ended up with two doubles and no shower. When I glimpsed at the shared showers, I decided I'd wait for our next stop to bathe. With that being said, I was offered a $20 discount, but I would've preferred what I had booked. The island itself is not representative of what you see online. The only saving grace were the other guests and the nice views from the island.

Merveilleux séjour avec des gens charmants. Nous avons très bien dormi et les repas étaient parfaits (truite du lac Titicaca). La terrasse au bord de l'eau était très reposante. La faune et la flore sont somptueuses. (Beaucoup d'oiseaux). Nous avons pratiqué la pêche au filet et la broderie.

Nous avons fait l'excursion de journée sur les Iles Uros et Taquilé...très commerciale...décevant. En revanche, la nuit passée avec la famille de Juan sur son Ile a été un moment exceptionnel ! Hors du temps. Unique. Avec un accueil très chaleureux. Ils ont fait de nombreux travaux de modernisation pendant la covid. C'est tres confortable.

Fue un acierto total hospedarnos en Aruma Uros en nuestra visita al lago Titikaka. La atención de la familia (Juan, Elsa,...) es magnífica. Te ayudan con los trayectos, te explican las curiosidades de su forma de vida y siempre con una sonrisa. Las habitaciones tienen un confort a la altura del precio. El único pero es que cuando te llevan a visitar una isla, te timan con el arte tradicional. Venden lo mismo que puedes encontrar en otros sitios de Perú más caro alegando que está hecho por ellos.
