Marboka Hotel & Suites

We booked for two nights but left after one, as we did not want to end our trip on such a depressing note. Pros: pretty view from patio and was very clean. Cons: Room smelled of sewage. Poor service, details sorely lacking. Two towels per room, max- even if your room has a tub on patio (though also there are no towel racks to hang them on in bathroom, and no TP holder either). The underlying message being, hotel guests cannot be trusted to not steal towels? No glasses in room other than plastic cups a la Pizza Hut. No coffee with coffee maker- we were told to pay from vending machine for this (though housekeeper did offer us a bag at noon, as we were leaving). Worn, translucent sheets and two twin size pillows on a king size bed. Safe didn’t work. Never anyone at front desk - at check in, when coming or going for dinner, or late at night. They left the front door cracked though so we (and anyone else) could get in. We asked to speak with the manager to discuss our concerns and were told they weren’t available, all we could do was email. We never received a reply.

We spent several days in Puerto Villarta with our two daughters. At this quaint hotel located a few miles outside of the city. The all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially the gentlemen working at the front desk. I didn't know when we made reservations about the great restaurant that was on site as well. Taxi rides for shopping and restaurants downtown or old town were around $10. We had a great time exploring different places as well as some relaxing downtime.

Great Place to stay! This was our first time to the area. the room was great, exactly how it was described and pictured. The staff were all so friendly and helpful with any needs and questions about the area. The food and drinks from the restaurant were amazing while looking at the great view of the water. We really enjoyed our time there, relaxing poolside,at the beach or on our balcony.

This place was just as described and better views then you could imagine. Would highly recommend and would look forward to coming back in the future to the area just because of the stay. Great little getaways and coming back to a comfortable spot makes this a true vacation spot.

This hotel was great! Check in process with smooth and easy to navigate with instructions. This suite itself has amazing views of the great private pool. AC worked well in the rooms. Very close taxi right nearby beaches and attractions. Nice lower exit/entrance entrance to several set of stairs if that's an issue. The staff at the hotel is amazing how far as well, always willing to be of service when needed. Overall my family and I enjoyed staying at the suite and visiting Puerto Vallarta. I highly recommend booking this suite.

I stayed there for only 2 nights but it was a nice time. The hostess were so nice. The room has an amazing balcony view and the access to the beach is very convenient. As well as the restaurant that is downstairs. It has a cool beach combine with the forest theme that I personally loved.
