Our vacation, 11-15 Dec 2023, in Be Live Marien, Puerto Plata was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we were placed and treated as VIPs. The hotel has aged, however, clean and well Kept. The service outstanding! I would like to thank Luis at the VIP lounge bar, who served us our first drink, Francis, Roberto, Cecilia and Josefina at Dining, among others, who were extremely hospitable and helpful. The food was great and presentable. The activities and shows, even though it rained on our last two days, decided to go to the sport bar and had a great time drinking and dancing, and again, great service.
We are going back! in 2024.

La peor experiencia en cuanto a instalaciones, comida, entretenimiento, servicio al cliente, que he podido recibir, reservé consiente de que era un 5 estrellas y desde la entrada te proyecta que no tiene ni 2 estrellas, a las 12am puedes ver la piscina llena de gatos tomando agua, de seguro fue la peor experiencia que he podido tener en un hotel.

I loved this property, the staff in the vip lounge were amazing and on the buffet. Everything was super clean and beautiful.

The infrastructure of the hotel is okay, tourism has changed since the pandemic in Puerto Plata. However, the Staff is amazingly helpful and kind. Food was okay too and overall me and my family had a great experience.

We enjoyed the food and the staff was very friendly. Good location for excursions. The beach was nice, the pool was also nice.

This was very family oriented. Everything was close. Can't get lost here. If u wanna wear your heels to dinner you can because all the restaurants are so closeby. The food at every restaurant and snack was fantastic!

A bit more shade / umbrellas around the pool would be nice. The usual issue with people reserving chairs and not coming back for hours!!

We stay for 4 nights and it was pretty good!
Pros - The location is great. Very safe and close to city center. The staff were all amazing. So kind and helpful. The pool is super nice, lots of daily activities, the beach is perfect. Brazilian restaurant was awesome. Buffet was pretty good for all meals.
Cons - The room was not great. Needs updating and a deep cleaning. AC barely worked so the room was damp and musty. Mexican restaurant was bleh. Construction was happening on a few buildings right next to the beach so it was loud at times.
Overall, not bad for the price.
