Tronco Tambopata Adventure

Tronco is an absolutely brilliant experience! If you are looking for a friendly, clean place to stay in the jungle, easily accessible from Puerto Maldonado, then Tronco is the one! The rooms were large, with hammocks outside and mosquito nets inside. The rooms are set into the beautiful garden, so you feel very much in the middle of nature. The staff were so helpful and kind, and we ate so well (three course meals!) every day. This is a truly special part of the river, with people who genuinely care about nature, animals, plants and the future of their home. Julio was an exceptional guide, so you could request him when you book if possible. We saw wild sloths, caimans, capybaras, night monkeys, macaws and more... plus we visited some families who are looking after rescued animals (macaws and monekys) from the pet trade. Unique, and genuinely supporting an ecotourism establishment. Thank you for our amazing stay, Tronco!

It was a great experience and I highly recommend it if you have enough time in Peru. It is great to observe the diversity Peru has in terms of flora, fauna and geograpghy. Everything was great with Tronco Tambopata from smooth process of online booking to kind staff, comfortable lodge in the jungle, attentive guide, and delicious food. The lodge is located in the jungle, it is clean and designed to fit in the environment. The room was clean, spacious with a private bathroom. A fan is also available, if needed. There is no hot water, but you don't need it in this environment (a refreshing shower is great after exploring the hot jungle). Every day we received different meals and all were very tasty. Every member of the staff was very kind and attentive to our needs - they were super nice and have highly contributed to have an incredibile experience. Our guide - Jerssy was very attentive to everyone in the group and provided lots of information about the animals and plants we observed during our daily activities. Also, all the activities mentioned in the tour description were performed and we managed to see a lot of animals (different species of monkeys, capybaras, parrots and other birds, caymans etc.) And observe an amazing sunset in the jungle.

We took 2 nights tour. Everything was great - rooms, enviroment, guide, tour program and especially the food! I'm a picky eater, but for me all food was very tasty, you always get different kind of local fruit juice which is nice. Tours are in small groups, which is great, because you get private experience. Huge reccomendations for this company :)

The experience was just amazing. Our guide Freddy new everything and took care of us for whole three days. The food was amazing. The whole group of the lodge was super kind and was gonna help you with anything you needed.

very cost bungalows with very comfortable beds inside and very comfortable hammocks outside, surrounded by beautiful garden of palms, flowers and amazing jungle a few steps far from the reception place. Many places can be explored with a very experienced guide Freddy (speaking Spanish and English) who knows all the animals, insects and trees from that area as he grown up there. Delicious food served, well prepared meals also for vegetarians. We spent really great time in El Tronco Tambopata Adventure (4 amazing days)

It has been a great experience for my family, especially for my teenagers. First of all, they are very accommodating from the get go. Unlike many travellers who are checking in and out in the morning, we arrive and leave in the evening. They customized the itineraries for us. Secondly, our guide Freddie is very friendly and knowledgeable. And he went above and beyond to find all kinds of animals for us. Last but not the least, the food is excellent. Each meal in the lodge is a 3-course meal with fresh juice.

Thank you so much for an incredible experience in the jungle! We had a great guide, Daniel, who looked after us constantly for three days. The food at the accommodation was great, especially the fresh juices we got for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I loved them. We saw almost all the animals - four species of monkeys, otters, butterflies, spiders, caimans and even an anaconda!! The accommodation is clean, quiet and in beautiful nature. We recommend it to everyone!

Jorge helped us to choose the activities and organise our time in Puerto Maldonado. We did Sandoval, sunset in tambopata and the sunrise to see the collpa. Every moment it was different and it was a beautiful experience. Our guide, Julio, was very helpful and patient to see animals, it was very good to learn about the place and the forest with him. On the last activity we had also a great guide, maestro, they called him, who was a lovely person who told us about the collpa and shared with us a little bit of his knowledge. Thank you for this lovely experience. I highly recommend Tronco for your activities if you are going to Puerto Maldonado. Bring binoculars, they will be useful.

Magnífica experiencia en la selva amazónica de puerto Maldonado siempre acompañados de nuestro guía Jerssy, siempre muy atento y con las mejores explicaciones Nos encantó la búsqueda nocturna de capibaras y caimanes, lago Sandoval , lago Yacumama y visita a la casa de los monos, gran experiencia con los animales.
