El Galleon Beach Resort

I was not sure what to expect on this dive trip, but I was not disappointed at all. From arrival at the resort, we got introduced to the resort facilities and dive schedule. This diving experience and the resort set the standard for what I consider an amazing luxury and dive trip at reasonable price. Asia Divers delivered an organized dive schedule with 5 Dives per day including the night dive. Using Nitrox I managed to enjoy every single dive from 8:00 AM after a lovely breakfast till 6:00 PM night dive. Each dive site had its own beauty and unique creatures. Then came Verdi Island dives and it was a whole new experience with an amazing reef and lush life with trigger fish, anthias and a variety of corals and unique creatures and tiny critters such as pygmy seahorse, mantis shrimp and many others. Tanks and equipment prepared by the dive crew with Nitrox (or air) and we just had to show up and dive. The resort was fun, beautiful atmosphere, exquisite sunrises and sunsets, lush canopy of trees and birds next to the beach. Good rooms that are comfortable and reasonably priced. The food was truly enjoyable. Lovely variety for breakfast and nice collection of coffee flavours and juices. 3 course lunch and 3 course dinner that’s amazing quality. You can’t go wrong with this adventure. I’m definitely going back again!

El Galleon in Puerto Galera provided a comfortable and relaxing stay during my Advanced Open Water course. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed. While the furnishings might be considered slightly outdated, they were perfectly adequate for the price point. The staff was consistently friendly, accommodating, and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of an intercom system, requiring guests to walk to the reception area for any requests. The food at El Galleon was decent, but the service was truly exemplary. The staff's attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile made dining a pleasant experience. Overall, El Galleon provided a relaxing and enjoyable stay, with friendly service and comfortable accommodations. The minor inconvenience of the lack of an intercom system was outweighed by the positive aspects of the hotel.

El Galleon is probably the best diving experience I have ever had. The diving is INCREDIBLE, with up to 5 days per day! The staff, from the divemasters to the restaurant staff to the folks who take care of your rooms are excellent. Great diving, comfortable beds and rooms, and also, GREAT FOOD! We spent six days in June, which is the offseason, and the way to go. A lot of our dives were just the three of us because of the season. The staff even took JUST ONE of us for a couple of night dives! Yet despite the offseason the waters are smooth, warm with great visibility. Each dive includes a divemaster who maximizes your bottom times (50-60 minutes are average) and shows you all the sights. TONS of fish, and the widest assortment of hard and soft corals and anemones you are ever likely to see. DIve sites are only minutes from the resort, with enough surface interval time back at the resort between dives so you never need a deco stop. Dollar for dollar probably the best value anywhere in the world. You've got to try this place! A reasonably short van ride from the Manila airport to the resort. You can dive the same day you arrive. Don't miss out!

El Galleon made booking and planning easy, despite the major time difference, by returning all emails within 24 hours and answering all of my questions. The lodge is comfortable with excellent service. Rooms are quite small but the beds are very comfortable. The dive operator, Asia Divers, is exceptional, offering five dives per day. The dive sites are remarkably beautiful with a variety of undersea terrain including reefs that are stunning and in great condition. The dive staff took great care of all divers, caring for our gear between and after diving and offering superb guidance underwater. Rides to the dive sites were typically 5-10 minutes, except to Verde Island which is about 20 minutes and well worth the time and the surcharge. At this time the dollar is strong relative to the peso, so everything comes at great value to the American diver.

The best resort in Mindoro to fully enjoy your scuba diving holidays. Asia Divers is located at the most convenient location in Sabang. Great dives and professional & experienced staff. El Galleon offers you comfortable rooms by the pool and a variety of tasty dishes at the restaurant with the best ocean views. Highly recommend it! Will be back again! Thank you!
