Apartamentos Moraña

Apartments clean and have everything you need. No aircon but you can rent a portable unit for reasonable fee. Staff friendly and accommodating. Excellent location for bars restaurants and close to beach. Only downside is it’s up a very very steep hill and apartment site has lots of steps at different levels so no good if you have mobility issues.. good value for money.

We arrived on the 30th October and checked out on 5th November. Having stayed in block 2 on previous visits this year with no views but loved, we stayed in 407 overlooking the pool with a seaview, which was well worth the extra. Outstanding service from check-in to housekeeping, every 2nd day, the maintenance lads and the staff in the bar, all were so pleasant which helped make our stay so enjoyable. Great location, yes it's on the hill, we were fine with it but could see people with mobility issues having problems although there are ways around it from the strip and Old Town. Looking forward to going back in February!!!

Had a fab 12 night break here late September/ early October. Arrived very late and reception was closed but Security man, Ricardo I think his name was, met us and was lovely. He checked us in, showed us to our apartment and carried my case up the stairs. We were given a pool and sea view apartment on the very top level. It was fab but we had requested the floor beneath if possible, less steps and more accessible to the pool. We were more than happy where we were but said we would ask about possibility of changing. After going to reception the next morning we were moved down yo our preferred level. Staff were so lovely and efficient including the cleaners, maintenance staff and everyone we encountered. We even got an email from reception a couple of days into our stay checking that everything was okay and enquiring if we needed anything. The pool bar had a nice selection of food and drinks and was very reasonable. The people running it were so lovely. The pool is not huge but is a nice size. Cold when you got in first but it soon warmed up. I often had the pool all to myself. It was never packed. There is a smaller children’s pool beside the main pool, we always got a sunlounger. We didn’t have to get up early to reserve them although we did see some people putting down towels early and leaving for hours at a time. The complex itself is lovely with fab sea views and is immaculate. It is so conveniently located to the strip and old town. It is on a hill but it’s not that bad. You can always come in one of the lower levels and use the steps inside the complex. You don’t need to use the hill to go to the old town. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It had everything you would require. It is a little dated and could do with some updating and tlc in parts. I know some of the serenity apartments have air conditioning but our apartment didn’t as we wanted the views and the serenity apartments don’t have views so we hired an air conditioning unit which was reasonable. The only thing with the unit is that it really only cools the room it’s in. We had it in the bedroom and used the fan in the living area. It was very hot when we were there so that is the only thing that might put me off. I think proper air conditioning is a must. Overall really enjoyed our stay and thought these apartments were value for money, I definitely would stay here again if there was proper air conditioning especially in the hotter months. I suppose if they hay air con and we’re updatec they would be more expensive but the location is fab.

This was my first time staying at these apartments and I have to say my opinions are a little mixed. First off, staff wise I can't complain. They were really friendly on check in and the bar staff were lovely. You can purchase air con and safe use from reception. Both I felt were a reasonable cost. We opted not to chose the air con as there is fans in the room. There was an incident with sun beds one day that did involve certain employees, but I'll come back to that later on. I did think the apartment did need a bit of a revamp, could do with a new lick of paint and some of the grouting around the tiles looked like it had seen better days. The shower was decent, just looked old. Please can we get some bigger towels? They are tiny! Some of the light switches seemed particularly dodgy and the lamp in one of the rooms flickered every so often. The beds however, were actually pretty comfy, kinda hard but almost became memory foam like as the week went on. You've got a decent amount of storage in the wardrobes and if you get chilly, theres fluffy blankets on the top shelf. You can also ask for further pillows at reception if you need one. You've got a kettle and toaster in the kitchen, small hob, sink and basic utensils in the drawers. In the living room there's a long sofa and a single chair. I wouldn't bounce down too hard on the sofa, it didnt seem the strongest. Our balcony view was awesome. You could see one of the pools (the one we used mostly) and you could see the beach. Really good if you want to take some sunset pics. There's a table and chairs outside so you can enjoy breakfast and some quiet time. Bar wise, the menu is pretty simple but it's reasonable food. The salad probably isnt worth the money but we really enjoyed the omelettes, burgers and toasted sandwiches. However there's no allergens listed at all. As I've been to two other accommodations on cardiac hill, I had expected this to be a standard at most places these days. Drinks are decently priced, some of the ice creams were maybe on the higher side than I had expected. Beware of the sangria, it's delicious but there's a high chance of you passing out on your sunbed. You are pretty much right on the strip and the beach, so you can escape if you want to. This accommodation is the one that's closest to the bottom of the hill. Pools are small, but have a depth gradient so suitable for all. After a hot day, the temperature was a welcome change! They're definitely not the coldest ones I've been in. The thing that really affected my opinion of this place, was the day with the sunbed issue. I won't go in to too much detail, but let's just say if you go away for longer than 45 minutes - 1 hour, just for some lunch (on site), your sunbed will likely be given away to someone else if there's a shortage of beds. What annoyed us most, is our beds were given away after just 10 minutes by the male life guard. If you're going to have a policy in place, please ensure all your staf

Lovely clean aparment, with brilliant view, In the middle of everything, short walk to everywhere, staff lovely, great bar with the most delicious toasted chicken sandwich, ice cold beer and great prices. Had some worries about "cardiac hill" as I have some mobility issues. Yes, it's steep, but to be honest, I had no problem walking up. If there is one negative, it doesn't have air conditioning, you do have a fan, but that alone really isn't great, we didn't have a problem as we ordered a mobile air con unit, it's cost 40euro for our stay. But to be honest, everything else is positive.

We are just back from a mini break in lanzarote, and we stayed in these apartments for 5 days. Firstly, the location is superb. So close to the main strip of puerto del carmen and only 10 minute walk to the old town. The apartments are very quiet and relaxed. During our stay we had a huge amount of rainfall in a few hours resulting in a leak in our apartment. The staff could not have been more helpful. They immediately called to the room and offered to move us. The apartments are clean and have all the facilities required. We have already booked again for next March.
