My travel agent wife has booked many people to this hotel over the years so we decided to check it out ourselves. First impressions were very disappointing. As many people have stated this is 2 separate hotels now connected by a walkway. First was the massive walk from reception to the “quiet “ part of the hotel. As we opened the door to our room we were greeted with a very disappointing location and view. We asked to be moved but were told there was no other rooms available. All week it was a long walk to the main part of the hotel where all activities, kids club, main restaurants and bars were located. Bit of a pain. The rest of the holiday was very good, rooms and grounds were immaculate. The hotel is in an excellent location for the beech. Food and drink was good. Bit of a free for all at meals times but that’s what I’d expect an all inclusive. The things that I will remember most fondly from the hotel were the excellent staff and especially the kids club. Our little lad had the time of his life.

We went here for heated pool it was cold why say you have heated pool when it is not will not come back food OK people reserving sunbeds from early walking round to find sunbed staff very good but I go for sun and to relax could not even swim as to cold

Myself Husband and Son have just got back from an amazing 7 day Holiday here in RIU Paraiso Lanzarote. The hotel was lovely, spotlessly clean everywhere. As a non smoker I loved the fact that guest have a designated area they can sit and smoke in whilst sunbathing around the pool, so the area is kept clean of all cigarette butts. The hotel always had enough sun-beds and parasols for everyone. If there wasn’t and people who arrived through the day couldn’t find one they went and fetched more. The Hotel is VERY big as it originally was 2 separate hotels now combined into one. The hotel is joined by a LARGE LONG walk way so be prepared on arrival If your in the 2nd section of the hotel - this felt like a mammoth walk. Then later you can see the short cut for everyday walk to the main area. We were in the 2nd part of the hotel with the large pool with the island in the middle, this we found suited us better as the other 2 pools in the main section on the hotel looked crammed! Loved the fact the hotel accommodates for the disabled and has a slope into the pool where I observed a wheelchair user being able to access this in the chair and then the chair was taken out till needed again. Well done to the hotel, pluses lifeguard was happy to assist if needed. Only negative thing, that I would say about the pool is the half section of the pool where ball games are allowed is a pain as balls are flying everywhere. Two older french lads were being really rough playing and hitting the ball into people and their parents were not saying anything!!, at the time the lifeguard (of this day) was to busy talking to his friend to observe this! (Needs to be more aware of what’s going on) lots of people were getting angry with the boys as had enough by then! Apart from that the pool area is amazing! Pool snack and bar was great, nachos with cheese, burgers chicken Prosecco, wine cocktails, larger on tap. On arrival on your stay you get a card that you get the towels for your sun-bed by the pool. Rooms was lovely, fresh towels when needed, large balcony’s with a table and chairs for evening. Could do with the light for the balcony as there isn’t one and your unable to sit out when dark so suggestion to the hotel perhaps to install them. Had a rack to air your towels and dry them. Main restaurant- amazing food caters for all. Loved the fresh prawns, assortment of cheeses and hams can not fault this at all. We dined in the Asian restaurant and the Canary one both were lovely, a little slow in the canary one and we found staff werent as friendly as the Asian one and had to ask for some drinks in the end as waiter was too busy focusing on another table to much, but was lovely atmosphere and more relaxing that main restaurant. Entertainment was Ok to be honest we never really went in there only a couple of times we were quite happy sat playing cars in the bar area or we went out for a walk. Fantastic all inclusive hotel. Stayed here as a family with teenage children. Location is excellent walking distance to town centre (15 mins) and directly across the road to a lovely clean quiet beach. Accommodation is top class beds and pillows very comfortable. Hotel is absolutely spotless with very friendly cleaning staff always visible maintaining the hotel. Great selection of food and drink available throughout the day. Main Buffet restaurant has a great selection of cooked meals and cold salads. We went to the Asian restaurant twice which is also buffet style but must be booked in advance. Loved to food here and would have liked to have eaten there again. Plenty of drink choices with wine and beer on tap, spirits with mixers available at bar, also cava cocktails and mocktails. One small suggestion would be to have a cider option and also make little more effort in presentation of cocktails eg cocktails glasses etc - in the age of social media presentation of drinks would probably help promote the hotel. We booked the tennis courts a number of times the teenagers really enjoyed that. Rackets and tennis balls provided at reception with a refundable deposit. Table tennis also an option. Would love to return and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We spend great holiday. Everything was perfect. People are very friendly and helpful. Delicious food.

This review's a bit late as we went here in March 2024. Overall I would say for most things this was one of the best hotel's we've been to in 40 odd years of travelling to the Med and Canaries. We were a family of 5 ranging in age from 4 up to 60 and went all inclusive. The rooms were very good and kept very clean. The location was good but bit of a walk in either direction to nightlife. The pools were fine but very cold as the weather wasn't great when we were. It's a very large complex and was kept very clean especially the pool areas. The drinks available were fine and the food was I think the best we've had at an AI hotel. The buffet food was very good and loved both the specialist restaurants. Here's just a few things that could be improved - the gym was pretty poor, also we went to the 'nightclub' that was open until 2.00am and it was always nearly empty as no one seemed to know about it and it was well hidden away - need to inform guests of it and it's location - it could be so much better. Lastly, something we've never come across before - no ice creams available during the day except when in the buffet for lunch/dinner. I asked at the snack bar and they looked at me in amazement but we've never been to an AI hotels where there's not been ice creams available whether tubs or lollies. When the weather's warm/hot everybody loves an ice cream not just kids so we can't fathom out the hotel's thinking behind this strange policy. Overall a fantastic hotel and would definitely go again but would like to see the 3 items I've listed improved on. The weather did put a bit of a dampener on the week but we still enjoyed our stay at this fantastic hotel.

Great room close to the pool. Food was plentiful, varied and delicious. Staff were amazing. Can’t fault the place. Will be back.

Myself & wife have stayed at this hotel several times, we love the area !! It’s ideal for walking along the sea front , This area has been developed over the last 5 years or so, there are bus stops a short distance walk from the hotel that go to Arrecife & along the coast to Playa Blanca!! The hotel itself is very good, all the staff are very helpful & friendly!! We feel that from the moment we arrive there, we can definitely relax !! It is a big hotel & has 2 sides to it , we like the left side , because it’s quieter than the main part, but you can walk across to the main restaurant & all the activities especially in the evening, there are pools & eatery on either side during the day, the restaurants are on the main block in the evening,The food choices & quality are very good indeed!!. The staff work very hard & are very organised in the restaurants, I think the number of times we have visited this hotel speaks volumes!!! As we do like cleanliness ,good food ,good sleep & good service !! That’s a must . And we get it all here!!

Could not fault the staff, however we would not return as the food was tasteless & cold, the queues at the bar terrible to be served tasteless drinks , we ate out most of the time Our shower came off the wall & shower temp was dangeous ( for children)as it kept going scolding and cold & drawers were broken, again staff came & fixed them ( not the temperature in shower) Before we get slated we have stayed in other Riu hotels & they have been fantastic

We’ve just had a brilliant week at The Riu Paraiso, Lanzarote. We have stayed many times over the last 10+ years and every visit is like going to see family. The staff are just amazing - absolutely everyone. The food is good with lots of choice and done fresh all day. The hotel is spotlessly clean in all areas and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend a stay at any time of year.

OK so the hotel was well located directly opposite the beach.The pool area was fine with plenty of sunbeds.Why put towels out at 7 am? especially when it was raining? The staff were excellent,always smiling and giving a good service.The animation team were really good,especially their evening shows. Negatives,buffet restaurant very so so food not hot enough for my taste but reasonable choice.There are two prebookable restaurants.One being the Asian (excellent) the other Canarian serving typical local food.We booked this but had to cancel owing to my wife being struck down by food poisoning probably due to some chocolate ice cream she ate in the restaurant on the Thursday evening.Ww both ate the same main course but I ate vanilla ice cream. She spent the whole of Friday in bed and didn't eat again till Tuesday after we returned home.Spoilt the holiday to be honest.Also the beer was OK but the rest was tasteless. WOULD I GO BACK?PROBABLY NOT.

This hotel is the whole package for a complete holiday. Clean and relaxing with helpful staff. Food generally good too.

Had a fantastic stay, place very clean and tidy, staff were great, food was good, only slight criticism is the noise from clearing away the plates in the restaurant, think staff could be a little more conscious of the noise they are making, but no they are busy so maybe not have time to be aware of it. This is just a personal thought and doesn’t degrade anything about the hotel. Would definitely recommend the hotel if looking for a peaceful relaxing hotel.
