TRH Taoro Garden - Only Adults

This is a fantastic hotel - set in a quiet residential area in beautiful grounds with parakeets flying around! The rooms are spacious and well appointed, most (maybe all?) with large balconies or terraces. Only 4 storeys high and on two sides of the gardens and large ( heated!) pool so it all feels very airy. The hotel was built in the 1970 ' s and refurbished fairly recently so it's very spacious with big rooms and public areas. Excellent variety of buffet food which changes every day and always have a chef cooking at breakfast and dinner with fresh fish, meat etc. Lots of choice for vegetarians and the will do additional vegan dishes if you ask. Donner started at 6.30 pm to 9.00 which is great for all us North Europeans who don't like to eat too late. They didn't chase is out even at 9.45. Music every night in one if the lounges - very professional and low key eg saxophone player, keyboard, singer. Good outside seating, drinks not expensive. A lot of German guests, some Brits, everyone very friendly and polite. Generally an older clientele - 50. 's to 70's with some on their 30's. Active people No children A coach takes you into town but we preferred to walk. As soon as you leave the grounds there is a huge park. Then a second one which goes down into the town. Quite a few steps but very doable. Lovely cafes in the parks too. We used the bus and visited several towns- especially loved Orotava and Buenavista . Bus service is excellent and cheap and the staff at the hotel were very helpful with timetable printing etc although it's also online. They all spoke good English and Jonas, David and José were particularly helpful. There is now additional car parking by using the tennis court. This really is a jewel of a hotel. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing hotel to the point that this was our second visit The hotel is situated on a hill, the gardens are beautiful and well kept. Our room was on level 1 and we could see Mount Teide most mornings. The weather was lovely not too hot, pleasant to walk around in. We did go to the local town most days either walking down the hill or taking the shuttle bus. The food was fantastic, buffet style to suit all tastes. Drinks - beautifully made cocktails. We ate the Al a Carte which is only available on a Friday which was fantastic has it was my 60th Birthday, Monica, Yamila & Martin Jose went above and beyond to make this evening special. Barbara who is the public relations manager ensured we were booked in and she also arranged a bottle of Cava to be taken to our room which is a lovely gesture. What makes this hotel is the staff, they are absolutely amazing! They are polite, nothing is too much trouble and they are always smiling.. Special thanks to Manu (thank you for the beautifully made cocktails), David, Monica, Yamila & Emanuele. Not forgetting Pool staff - Neidy, Jule & Erica who are real gems, especially on my Birthday. We will return.

The staff is really cool, the rooms are good and the food is great. Also liked playing the grand piano at the hall. There is a beautiful public park which can be accessed from the hotel site which is absolutely worth a walk. Would love to return to this exact hotel in the next years! 5/5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, full recommendation ❤️

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a relaxing week in Puerto de la Cruz staying at TRH Taoro Garden. We chose this hotel because of the great reviews, beautiful gardens, being adults only for a peaceful holiday and for the advertised heated pool. For the most part the hotel lived up to expectations. The gardens are indeed beautiful and it was extremely peaceful. The hotel is clean and bright. The staff are very friendly from reception to dining to housekeeping. The dining area is really nice and the buffet which changed daily was full of choice if you have a wide pallet. I love cold spreads so made the most of that daily for breakfast and dinner (we were half board but some days switched to lunch instead of dinner which was great to have that flexibility). My boyfriend prefers hot food but also has limited taste so didn't have as much choice as he doesn't like fish but always found something. His feedback would be that it would be great if some of the food could have been kept hotter in the serving dishes, but we know that can be hard being a buffet and there was always some fresh options being cooked in front of you at all mealtimes. We were particular fans of the delicious honey dripping straight off the honeycomb at breakfast! There are some lovely lounge style areas within the hotel on the ground and sub ground levels which we made the most of for playing board games and there's a pool table which made for a fun evening one night. The entertainment was so so, some solo singers and musicians if you like that sort of thing in the small bar area (some guests - mainly our German friends - certainly did and it was good hearing them from one of the other lounge areas enjoying themselves and joining in nightly)! Great if you dont want to be out every night! The shuttle service into town runs well and we found it easy to request a cab or get one back from town when needed with a short wait at busier times which is natural, especially during a holiday period (we were in town for the Three King's Day parade which was brilliant to see). The walk into town was reasonable downhill through a park which took around 15 minutes but I can see why not many want to do the walk back up! The location is manageable though if you're aware of that and plan for it and it's worth being higher up for the views. The room itself was very nice and pretty modern with a nice balcony, the adjoining bathroom was somewhat outdated and could do with a refurb. The bed was comfy though I found the room really warm and even with the air con on it appeared to only cool to a certain temp (around 22c) which coupled with the memory foam mattress meant I'd wake up far too hot overnight even without the duvet on. My boyfriend on the other hand enjoys those sorts of temps and slept marvellously! We did have an issue with our shower changing temperature to scalding or freezing frequently, which we reported and were told maintenance would visit (this was 9.30pm, they didnt s

Had a wonderful week here in September. We stayed all inclusive and just wanted to relax for a week. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy, bathroom had a bath and shower. Good size balcony overlooking the well kept garden. There was a fridge, tv and a safe. The pool area was great, always sunbeds available and you can hire a big towel (money returned when you give the towel back) The bar there has drinks, snacks (burgers, chips etc which were all very nice) and ice cream. Restaurant serves a big buffet style selection for each meal time. Also a chef is cooking a few bits fresh. We are a bit fussy over food but we found plenty to eat every day. Plenty of rolls, salad, different meat and fish dishes, vegetables, fruit, ice cream and cakes. The profiteroles dipped in the chocolate fountain were my favourite! There is a free bus service that takes you to and from the town which was good. We used it twice, it takes you down to a shopping center right near the sea front. In the evenings the outside terrace was full every time and there is an inside lounge with chairs and sofas. Entertainment was low key but pleasant, singers and musicians mostly. All the staff were polite and helpful, the ladies cleaning the rooms were great. Restaurant and bar staff were attentive and all were smiling all day long. We have never had a 'do nothing but relax' holiday before and this place was perfect for us. It was both our birthdays during our stay and we had some chocolates and a bottle of fizz in our room which was a lovely surprise. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked our return for September 2025!

Excellent meals in the restaurant, clean rooms, nice and helpful personnel, especially in the reception area. The garden is a beautiful place, a quite and relaxing spot, even though the swimming pool water has been rather cold. A beautiful view of the volcano Teide quite in the front of the hotel.
