Royal Marina Suites Boutique Hotel

My wife and I spent a lovely peaceful holiday at the Royal Marina Suites 13th-20th August and confirm the abundance of superlatives bestowed upon it by previous reviewers. The room is very spacious , with large comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, wi-fi and first class sea view. Should lying by the pool not appeal, the generously large secluded balcony has a table, 2 comfortable chairs plus 2 stylish and comfortable sun beds. It can get a bit warm as the surrounding walls providing the balcony privacy plus the glass panels at the front can weaken a much welcome cooling sea breeze but still a lovely option to have. The bathroom is stunning with a fabulous large ceiling shower and huge round window looking firstly into your room then onto the world outside. Breakfast has an ample and varied selection of fruit, cold meat, bread, rolls etc with the added bonus of the hot food options being cooked to order. The freshly squeezed orange juice is not to be missed, it’s delicious. The infinity pool is all one safe depth. There is also a small jacuzzi. All in all the Royal Marina Suites ticked the boxes of what we wanted for our weeks stay. Finally It would be remiss of me not to mention all the staff who were all very courteous and work hard maintaining the high standards this boutique hotel sets for itself. Honestly cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. Just coming to the end of a 10 night holiday and we are sad to be leaving. This is an all suite hotel, only 20 some odd rooms so really not busy. The rooms themselves are stunning with amazing views of the harbour, huge comfy beds, his and hers sinks and a rainfall shower with a porthole window so you can appreciate the view while you shower. There is a small but perfectly adequate gym and a lovely pool area with plenty of very comfortable loungers, which the staff meticulously clean every morning. Breakfast is cooked to order and brought to your table as well as cereal/fruit/pastries etc that you can help yourself to - really can’t fault the choice and the quality, 10 out of 10. This hotel is not for you if you want entertainment and a bar service at night, the bar closes at 630. For us this was a chance to totally relax in wonderful surroundings

Wonderful, smaller adults only hotel in PC. We stayed on level 100, so just one up from the pool level. Lovely large rooms with a good view of the harbour. The room was spotless and really well appointed. Great bathroom with twin sinks and rainfall shower from where you can look out onto the harbour. Good breakfasts with a choice of menu. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool (still had one chap running around at 6am reserving his four!) albeit the large room balconies have a pair of comfy sun loungers on them if you want to stay near your room. The only downside is that it can get very hot on the balconies and they are enclosed to three sides and the balcony glazing does block the breeze a bit. Really, just a really nice hotel, attentive but not over zealous staff and good facilities, Plenty of loungers, plenty of space, Technogym exercise machines and weights. Just a really nice place to do nothing but read, take a dip and have cold drinks. PC promenade about a five minute walk away .

We had the best two weeks staying at Royal Marina, it was first class from the moment we arrived until we left. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. As many have written before, the hotel is outstanding, location is spot on and just a short walk to the marina. The rooms are to a very high standard, super comfy beds, large bathroom, loads of space generally, great sun loungers on the terrace, everything we could have asked for. Cleaners everyday if you need them, stunning views for all of the rooms. Only 20ish rooms in the hotel so 40 couples around so doesn’t feel busy, plenty of sun loungers by the pool, which is really nice looking out across the sea. Breakfast had plenty of choices, and again to a high standard, could not fault it. The bar served great cocktails so rude not to sample them on your stay. Could have easily stayed longer and was gutted to leave. A nice relaxing two weeks in a stunning hotel, can’t wait to return.

We have recently returned from this wonderful hotel which is perfectly situated a short walk from the marina. We had a top floor room with lovely views to watch the boats coming in and out. Very spacious room and bathroom with all the amenities you could need. Excellent air con, the most comfortable bed. Brilliant shower and also a lovely big bath. Huge terrace with really comfortable sun loungers, you get the sun all day. All the hotel staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything required. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice for a small hotel. Hot breakfasts made on request and freshly squeezed orange juice! We had lunch in the pool bar one day which was excellent and reasonably priced. The whole hotel is immaculately clean, you can see they work so hard on this. Plenty restaurants within a 10 minute walk, also a shop selling the essentials. The marina is really nice, fairly small and perfect for anybody wanting a relaxing holiday. If you’re after a lively holiday, this probably isn’t for you but there’s a boat taxi which makes regular trips to Puerto Del Carmen. Note that the bar isn’t open on an evening and there is no entertainment, which didn’t matter to us and the hotel makes this clear on their website. We had a minor issue with a bill on checking out, however this was resolved quickly and efficiently. Absolutely will be returning to this hotel and would definitely recommend staying here. We're just back from an 8-day visit -- our first time staying. Our one regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Of all the holiday hotels we've stayed in over the years, this was undoubtedly the best. We cannot fault anything. The hotel is new (about two years old) and well designed. Every room has a sea view and a generous balcony (which most of the guests made full use of). For such a small hotel the facilities were great: a lovely (and cold, which is what we wanted) pool; lots of luxurious sunbeds (we never had to worry about coming down late); a well-equipped gym with yoga mats; a pool bar with a great range of lunch options. To a person, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, and it really helped that this is genuinely an adult-only location. The breakfasts were generous (including free a la carte options and delicious coffee). A 10-minute walk away (along a delightful paved pathway) was the small port of Puerto Calero, which was both lovely and quiet (if you're looking for party time this place is not for you!). It included a rich list of hotels and bars, giving us plenty to choose between. We are definitely going to plan a revisit!
