Villa Shanti - Heritage Hotel for Foodies

Lovely oasis of calm, boutique hotel in the heart of the White Town. We stayed for 2 nights. We dined at the restaraunt on the first night, the food and ambience was excellent. We also dined twice at their sister restaraunt" La Villa" which had a 7 course taster menu that was excellent and great value for money. They are also affiliated with the bar/restaraunt "The Spot" which we really enjoyed visiting during the day for a drink and spot of lunch in a nice courtyard. Breakfast at Villa Shanti was also good and the staff were all very polite and friendly. Our room was charming and comfortable. We felt the roof terrace area could have been a more attractive area to sit out on than it was it was quite basic and felt a bit neglected but otherwise we found the hotel a great place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Shanti which is at the heart of the French White Town in Pondicherry. The location of the villa is great as all of the prime cafes, beaches & spots are easily accessible from here. The food, drinks and overall service and hospitality is top notch. Dharani & Foiuziya really took great care of us and helped us with the best recommendations. They even ensured that an additional fan was placed next to our dinner table and took care of the tiniest details ensuring a warm experience.

I loved my experience here the ambiance is pleasant and welcoming and the restaurant has such cozy and charming atmosphereI tried their salad and Summer special Mocktails and they've nailed the recipe really loved the flavors and the freshness of the ingredients and mainly thanks to Ms. Fouizeya for helping us with the cool table and warm smile throughout the dinner
