Maison d'hôtes Stella Cadente

After a long day of sightseeing, we were delighted to check into Maison la Stella Cadente Provins. Even from the moment, I questioned them about the property I knew this would be a memorable experience. Daniel the property manager speaks perfect English and was always available by both phone and email to answer any questions and requests. The property is delightful, although it was too cold to enjoy the exteriors, they looked as if in summer they would be delightful to enjoy. We loved the unique decor and themes rooms. So much more interesting than a big named chain we could have chosen. The suite was perfect to accommodate our group without having to book multiple rooms. It could comfortably sleep 5 people. We opted to stay in the hotel for dinner which was not only delicious and a great value but they were able to accommodate the dietary preferences of our Vegetarian co-traveler. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was abundant and fulfilling. The location was great, we were able to walk to the market for a bottle of wine to enjoy in the room and they didn't mind us drinking a glass at the fireplace in the dining area. All the staff was lovely and the wine they suggested with dinner was a real treat. I will definitely recommend them to any travelers I know heading to the delightful Medival village, it completely enhanced our stay and makes me want to come back in the warmer weather when we can enjoy the facilities to their fullest. Maison d'hôtes originale, décoration très originale (il faut aimer les associations étranges et les animaux empaillés) Le personnel est très gentil et la suite peau d'âne est grande et étonnante (lampes en plastique et fausse fourrure, chambre avec lumière noire mais peintures bien abîmées, cabine de douche en plastique mais très jolie baignoire) Le jardin est superbe et la situation idéale pour visiter Provins. Quelques détails mériteraient d'être améliorés (éclairage, douche, meubles abîmés et abats jour poussiéreux, chasse d'eau des wc qui mériterait d'être réparée...) . Les produits de douches sont étonnants, on trouve un lait corporel entamé de la marque Stella Cadente un shampoing Timothée et un flacon non identifié, est-ce du savon ou du démaquillant ? Les chambres ne sont pas bien insonorisées mais cela n'est pas insupportable, on entend juste les gens du dessus marcher. C'est joli mais pour le prix, les finitions mériteraient d'être soignée et le petit déjeuner un peu plus étoffé (oeufs ou fromage ainsi que du café à disposition serait un plus) L'équipe est adorable, surtout au niveau du service et de la cuisine (le patron pousse beaucoup pour que vous mangiez sur place, pas très agréable comme sensation). A faire en connaissance de cause.

Excellent accueil du patron. Nous avons délicieusement dîné. Nos plats étaient succulents, la terine de canard goûteuse et fine avec son chutney de figue, et le tournedos fondant en bouche. La terrasse ombragée était très agréable pour ce repas d'anniversaire.
