Absolutely the WORST service/greeting I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Upon arrival we were left standing in the blazing midday sun for 15 minutes trying to find a staff member. Eventually we attracted attention of a woman in the restuarant who came over and abruptly told us we couldn’t check in until 2:30. She didn’t speak a word of English and said there was nobody there who did. For a hotel that advertises itself as welcoming to English guests I find this very poor. She informed us there was no wifi and as there was no phone reception either we were completely cut off from the outside world. After being left for over an hour waiting around it was clear there were more issues - overflowing ashtrays and empty wine bottles/glasses littering the tables from the night before. Children running round screaming treating it as their playground - not the tranquil relaxing break we expected! Eventually when the lady came back we couldn’t believe it that the room was actually ready all along, she just couldn’t be bothered to check us in when we arrived - clearly not busy as she was sat on her phone in the bar (but too busy to clear up any of the mess it seemed!) After being told they had no idea when the wifi would be back up we decided and so rudely treated we decided to leave immediately - I could not imagine staying in that place and being treated that way for 2 nights! This is not the way to treat and welcome paying guests!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Casena Mongerrati. The hotel is situated high in the hills with breathtaking views of mountains and countryside. The room we stayed in was large and spacious, with air-con, a mini fridge, large wardrobes, comfortable bed and a waterfall shower. Rosa and her team are very welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was most enjoyable. We enjoyed returning to the peaceful, quiet poolside in the afternoons after spending our mornings visiting the bustling towns and beaches of Cefalu and Palermo. Fantastic food in the hotel’s restaurant each night - the local meat and cheese board is delicious! We recommend a vehicle as the nearest village is a 10 min drive away, walking is not suitable. Cefalu was a 40 min drive away, and had lots to do, and beautiful beaches. Thank you for a delightful stay, and we hope to visit again one day.

We were here last week for dinner and had a fantastic experience. This place is situated in the middle of the forest, perfect for people who are looking for peace and relax. The food was fantastic, we had the carpaccio of mushrooms and the delicious caponata, followed by pasta with pistacchio and tomatoes and the veal with potatoes. All of it was very tasty. The desserts therefore could be improved a little, but that's complaining on a high level. There is also a beautiful and large pool, the whole outside area is very well kept and beautifully done with flowers and trees to create a nice atmosphere. To top it, there's a pool table which you can use for free. We will be back here soon again for a chilled day at the pool and another lovely dinner.

English: Nightmare holiday.. we booked this location deceived by the good reviews!! We settled in and unfortunately we decided to have dinner there on site, we ordered: 1 square of black and white bread with raw ham, burrata and white caponata and slices of bread arrived with everything on top, then we ordered 1 slice of beef with parmesan fondue and salad and 1 skewer of sea bass with panko with white caponata and apricot sauce, respectively: slice of beef with red potatoes and potato breading and sea bream roll with red potatoes potato breading!! Everything completely wrong, with the risk of intolerances and allergies!! The next day at lunch I pointed out these inconsistencies to the waitress who reported to the chef and a voice from the kitchen reported: but we never put the salad in, the waitress came back and told me that the cousin was sick and therefore she had made a mistake!!, the same day I asked if it was possible to stay in the pool on the day of departure with lunch attached and I was told: of course no problem, you can stay as long as you want (without extra charge). At breakfast the next day at 08:30 the cakes were not ready, they arrived at 09:00, terrible service. On the day of check-out I found in the bill at full price the tagliata and the umbrina 22€ (instead of the gilt-head bream 19€), I pointed this out to her and the employee got annoyed and at the same time told me that to stay in the pool you have to pay a supplement (the day before we could have stayed tranquilizer and now you have to pay a supplement), I remember that the customer is always right and if you make a mistake you always have to try to make up for the customer not to be treated so badly!! For 160€ a night a treatment and service like that is shameful!! We ran away, I strongly advise against this place, terrible!!!! Ci sistemiamo e purtroppo decidiamo di cenare lì in sede, ordiniamo: 1 quadrotto di pane bianco e nero con crudo, burrata e caponata bianca e arrivano fette di pane con con il tutto sopra, poi ordiniamo 1 tagliata di manzo con fonduta di grana e insalata e 1 spiedo di ombrina al panko con caponata bianca e salsa di albicocca, arrivano rispettivamente: tagliata di manzo con patate rosse e panage di patate e involtino di orata con patate rosse panage di patate!! Tutto completamente sbagliato, con il rischio di intolleranze e allergie!! Il giorno successivo a pranzo gli facevo notare queste incongruenze alla cameriera che riferisce allo chef e una voce della cucina riferisce: ma noi l insalata non l abbiamo mai messa, la cameriera rientra e mi riferisce che il cugino stava male e quindi aveva sbagliato!!, lo stesso giorno comunicavo se fosse stato possibile restare il giorno della partenza in piscina con annesso pranzo e mi veniva riferito: certo nessun problema, potete restare quanto volete (senza supplemento). Già dalla presentazione sul sito si poteva indovinare la qualità dell'ospitalità, ma solo dopo l'arrivo ci si rende conto dell'offerta della struttura. Camere comode, ben arredate, inserite in un edificio in pietra ottimamente ristrutturato. Gli spazi comuni (piscina, sala ristorante, area relax) sono sobri ed eleganti. L'area offre la possibilità di passeggiate, gite in bicicletta ed è a pochi minuti da Gal Hassin, il Parco Astronomico di Isnello, un paese che permette di scoprire una Sicilia inaspettata. Il personale è perfettamente inserito nel progetto che sta dietro Casena Mongerrati, cortesissimo ed efficiente.

Très bel endroit proposant une vue magnifique sur les montagnes environnantes. Piscine à débordement dotée d’un jaccuzzi. Table de billard. La vieille bâtisse a été rénovée avec goût ce qui lui donne un charme certain. L’endroit est parfait pour sillonner et visiter les monts Madonie. Les chambres de plein pied sont un peu sombres, peut-être pour se préserver de la chaleur. Dommage qu’elles ne soient pas équipées d’un petit extérieur de jardin. Excellente carte d’apéritif, très agréable en bordure de piscine ! Petit bémol sur la restauration.
