Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lords Castle All Inclusive Resort

Second stay at this hotel, travelled with family. Service was good even though there was a very large function on at the hotel at the same time. Enjoyed eating at Castle View restaurant the most, service was excellent there and cocktails amazing. Negative experience at the breakfast buffet, waiting over 30 minutes for a piece of gluten free toast! They did not even have a separate toaster in the kitchen to accomodate this request.

It was a wonderful experience. Staff was polite and friendly. the only thing missing is an airport shuttle

Everything was great I came here for my birthday, staff was wonderful especially Oswald, ishama and Sherman. Clive entertainment was spectacular! Only thing I would recommend is adding more restaurants and a night club. Otherwise I will definitely be back soon!!

They were so many mixed reviews when booking this hotel, but I decided to take a chance. There was one review that was very thorough and honest and that review was the deciding factor. The hotel is still fairly new, and there are still phases to be completed. When we arrived, we were greeted with cool infused essential oil and towel to wipe our hands. We were then escorted to the lobby we were asked to be seated and offered a glass of champagne. Check-in is a little slow but this has been my experience with all the Caribbean islands I have visited. Once checked-in we were escorted to our beautiful suite with a living area, two ocean front balconies the lounge beds & oversized lounge chair. We were informed about the 3 restaurants & bars and where to book reservations and excursions. The grounds are lush & well kept, the beach is accessible but does not offer any drink or food service. The hotel sets on the Atlantic side of the island & is not recommended for swimming but you are able to walk long the shore to see the crashing waves, which is so soothing. They do offer a free shuttle service to one of the local beaches. The local beaches are stunning. The majority of the staff are very friendly & helpful, there were a few staff members to barely cracked a smile when spoken to. I celebrated my birthday & was greeted with cake & nice card, no balloons or door banner. The cake was a nice gesture & did make me smile. The food from the buffet was pretty good, the poolside grill was really tasty & the Castle View restaurant dinner was delicious. My stay overall was wonderful, which is why I gave 5 stars.

I have just returned from a weekend stay at the Sam Lord's Castle resort. Everything about my stay was perfect. I was greeted with a glass of champagne at check in which was a lovely touch. I booked an ocean view room and the view was stunning.. There was a great selection of food to choose from and the staff were very friendly. All the pools were crystal clear and I enjoyed many hours sitting under a parasol sipping cocktails. A wonderful choice for a relaxing holiday.

I stayed at Sam Lord's Castle Resort for my birthday celebrations and all my expectations were surpassed. The reception staff were very welcoming and hospitable, and the overall stay was a 5 star experience from beginning to end. I had the opportunity to meet the newly appointed General Manager, Rueben Browne, whose leadership skills in the hospitality sector were evident in our brief encounter. I look forward to another stay at Sam Lord's Resort, in the near future.

Stayed at this beautiful place from Oct 13-17 , My first time staying at this place , Beautiful clean rooms with great views I can tell that it was a wonderful experience with best service and great staff , They will do a lot for you ,will recommend any one travelling to Barbados to try this place once ,I will be back to stay here again without thinking even once . Chef Narayan was one of the best , he went out of his way to get us dishes and was always there for anything needed at the dinning hall Thanks for the best stay provided worth every Penney

My mom and I had an amazing 4 days/3 nights trip to Barbados and the hotel, its staff and food were amazing. The hotel is situated on a beautiful property and the only drawback was the beach is not swimmable as the water is too rough. It would have been great if there was a shuttle bus option that took us to the beach. I realize there is one on Wednesdays. We unfortunately were not there on a Wednesday. We did however take advantage of the shuttle bus to the Fish Fry on Friday, which was a disappointment by the way. It’s nice to see but it’s a tourist trap. (Definitely sign up for the bus ahead of time). Also, note for the hotel, not a good look to have a bus full of people waiting for one person who is 20 minutes late! Che-Amor at the front desk and Rodney at the restaurant were two standouts from the amazing staff that were friendly and welcoming just like the rest of the Bajan people. The specialty restaurant which you need reservations for was excellent and so was the snack bar. My one regret was not getting up at 5:30 in the morning to see there monkeys. Yes, there are monkeys.
