Castello di Proceno Albergo Diffuso in Dimora d'Epoca

What an amazing place to call this place our temporary home away from home. We intended to stay for 3 days to try out if the distance worth the driving. It turned out when you feel home, distance doesn't really matter any more. We ended ip staying for 11 days. We had a nice spacious apartment beautifully revived while retaining all the original charms and details. All rooms are well ventilated, breezy and bright. And the owner, Madame Cecilia. What an incredible human being you are. Simply put we love you! Thank you so much for everything and for making a memorable birthday experience for my children. After we checked out, the boys referred you as their grandma from Proceno. There was not one thing that we needed that was not made available to us. We will be back! We miss you, we miss our apartment autunno, and we miss our breakfast and dinner time.

This place is a total gem. The castle has been in the owner’s family since the 16th century and the history is fascinating. Everything about this place is wonderful- the views, the food at the restaurant (where the owner and her husband also eat their dinner between checking food orders and flambé- ing the crème brûlée) and the personal tour of the castle tower. This was certainly one of our highlights walking the Via Francigena and we hope to be back someday.

Cena con tante proposte di piatti della tradizione antica Toscana. Colazione super con tanta scelta tra dolce e salato, marmellate fatte in casa e pecorini, davvero magnifica
