"We attended a friend's wedding over the weekend, and this hotel served as a very convenient base for us. The rooms were comfortable, and the location was perfect. Overall, it was a good stay. However, the woman at reception didn't seem too pleased to see us, which was a bit confusing given her customer-facing role. A warmer welcome would have made the experience even better."

"This is an unusal hotel. It has a good free car park, a nice reception and public area, along with a good brèakfast room. The staff were very friendly and helpful but I have never been to a hotel with so few staff. The rbedoom was very dark and needed to be redecorated. Tnere is no AC. Breakfast was comical. Hot food was constantly running out. A hard working meber of staff was trying in vain to restock. The coffe machine was za joke. It took me 10 minutes to get 2 Americanos. Its definitely not up to IHG standards. I ave been to many IHG hotels in the UK and Europe. It felt like the Marie Celeste."

"This was our first visit here and it was a beautiful sunny day to see this venue. It is a perfect setting for a night away and as a wedding venue . We came for the lunch menu . The brusetta was very nice along with the fishcake. My sister was disappointed with her steak and french fries . The plate was full of salt which she doesn't add salt to her food anyway . This just ruined the whole plate . She did mention to the waiter who would inform the chef . She didn't want another meal but wasn't offered it either . But offer of dessert or coffee instead would have been nice to take away the salt taste . It was my dad's 90th meal but there was nothing special but I expect a lot of special events happen every day"

"I stayed a night at City Studios and it was lovely. The environment is neat, the room is spotless, the toilet, towels, utensils , equipment in the kitchen and crockery were all in excellent clean condition. I needed to extend my checkout and this was done smoothly. The staff are polite and very hepful. This will be my favorite place to stay next time I go to Preston ."

"I stayed in this hotel with my friends. Everything else was fine, but something happened. This is what happened to my friend. Nothing happened overnight. In the morning, he woke up and turned over and felt a tingling sensation on his skin. He turned over and looked for something, but found something like a "pin". He immediately called the room cleaning staff. They also saw it and promised to solve it. We said we hope to solve it as soon as possible because we are here for tourism and will not stay in the UK for a long time. They also promised to solve it. When my friend came back, he called them and they said, why didn’t you tell us at night, but in the morning, and said it was the laundry’s business, as if to let us go to the laundry (so funny)? The attitude is very bad. Can such a handling method satisfy the guests? This hotel happened at the beginning of our journey. The reason why I will comment at the end of my trip is that I want to compare the services of hotels in other parts of the UK. The result is that there is no hotel that treats guests with such a bad attitude. It is probably because you tourists are not living in the UK anyway, so it is okay to treat them like this. It seems that they are not afraid of bad reviews. Nowadays, there are very few such ways of treating guests, but you must know that "a bad apple can spoil the whole pot of porridge!" I hope that guests who are going to stay here will pay more attention to the service attitude and hospitality of this hotel!"

"This is actually the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I knew it was above the station so I called a week ahead asking for a quiet room for myself and my friend and to have the rooms near each other. On arrival, I was told that I had already checked in. Turns out they had confused some names and given my quiet room to someone else. I was given another room not near my friend where l could physically feel the room shaking when the trains went past. It would have been ok but the point of booking a hotel is so that I could get a decent night sleep and be close to a work event for a 5 am wake up the following morning. Instead, I am wide awake and have been told the hotel is fully booked and they can bring ear plugs!!! That’s not going to stop the bed shaking though is it! Charlie and Halle the staff messed up this one."

"Unbelievably good experience. Amazingly good value for money. Really great, friendly service, beautifully clean premises and room, gorgeous smelling linen, really comfy bed… best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel. And riverside views. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again. Great location - only a 10 min walk into the heart of the city centre, also on the doorstep of beautiful walks along the river Ribble through Miller Park and Avenham Park."
